Located in M'hamid, on the border of the Sahara Desert, Dar M'hamid is a traditional, Moroccan guest house, which offers a garden. Camel rides and 4x4 excursions in the area can be organised.

The air-conditioned rooms feature a typical decoration and a private bathroom with shower. Breakfast is included and served each morning in the dining room.

100% the best place to stay in Mhamid. For this amazingly low price you get better service than some of the fancy places in Marrakesh. The team is very kind, the cooking is delicious and the air conditioning much appreciated. But my biggest recommendation is - ask them to organize the trip to the desert and camp for you. Our guide Hamza was truly amazing, thanks to him we got much more than most advertised tours offer for less money. If I were you I would do the full service with the oasis lunch and the camp.

we had a lovely stay with Mohamed, who was extremely welcoming and attentive, from meeting us at centre of village to providing many pots of tea and a delicious lunch. then we start trip to the camp with him and it went wonderfully; music, campfire, desert dunes and camels…. The works! I don’t think we would have had anywhere near as good an experience in Erg chigaga if it hadn’t been for him. We only spoke English and felt like he could deal with our many questions, both practical questions for our stay but also helping with our interest in the area. It is not often you find such a friendly and proactive host! thank you

Just a 5-minute drive from the village of Mhamid and 97 km from Zagora City, Auberge Kasbah Dar Sahara Tours offers overnight desert trips and excursions.

Overlooking sand dunes, all units are decorated in a traditional Sahara style and have a shared bathroom with a shower.

I spent two days at Dar Sahara, and I wish I could have stayed for two weeks! As a solo female traveler, Mbarek made me feel safe and well taken care of in this remote location. He picked me up from the bus station, prepared a Berber omelette upon my late-night arrival, and organized an excursion that perfectly fit my schedule. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the grounds have comfortable lounge spaces, and the overall atmosphere is magical. Mbarek's calming presence adds to the joy of the experience. Exploring the lodging area reveals beautiful structures and breathtaking sunsets over dinner. If I return to this part of the world, I'll prioritize booking one of Dar Sahara's camping or trek excursions. The attention to detail in every aspect exceeded my expectations!

Immersed in the palm grove of M’Hamid, the family-run Auberge la Palmeraie offers traditional accommodation in tents and rooms and traditional breakfast daily. It is a 4 minutes drive from the M’Hamid El Ghizlane Oasis.

Great locale, wonderful staff who came and met me at the CTM BUS station so I wouldn't have to find the place on my own at night. Super warm and sincere welcome. Tea, conversation and music followed. Room was great- clean, comfy spacious. Shared bathroom was clean and well organized. Nice little table just outside of my guest house was perfect spot for breakfast the next day, which was delicious. Great option for a very authentic trek into desert but I had made other plans or I would definitely gone for the six day option. Spoke to a woman who had returned that day and she was just raving about the experience, how private and removed the trek was from town and how wonderful Mohammed was during the entire trip. She also said it was the best food shed had her entire time I'm Morocco.

A very nice place at M’Hamid. Quiet Location with a nice garden. We loved the garden next to the rooms. Room and Breakfast was very good for the price we paid. Host is friendly, speaks good English and can answer your questions. The host organizes Trips in the Dessert. We booked a Daytrip in the Dessert to the Sanddunes. It was very nice the host answered all our Questions, Explained a lot of things and we had a lot of times for walks in the Dessert. So I could highly Recommend the rooms and the tour.

Super cool Camp. Be sure to note that the camp is not located where booking says, we got picked up by a guy and was very confused about it. The camp is 20 minutes outside m’hamid. When we accepted that, the stay was wonderful, so quiet and beautiful sky

Hosts are amazing! Great atmosphere by the campfire at night. Food is good. Little primitive ofcourse (no shower, no electricity) but no problem for us. Only downside was that the outdoor lounge that was mentioned on booking.con was not there, but we could just sit on a carpet no problem. We really enjoyed our stay because of the great hosts and their hospitality!

A very nice evening at the camp and a great excursion the next day to Erg Chegaga. Our host and our driver were very kind towards us to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The site is exceptional, at the foot of the dunes, very well equipped and quiet. Good meal in the evening and very pleasant evening with songs by the fire. Thanks again!!!

The camp is charming, very clean, with much cleaner and more comfortable bathrooms than those in conventional hotels. Aziz is a great host. He made us tea, chatted with us and served us a great dinner and breakfast. He also provided us with all the bottles of water we asked for and, desert, that's worth it. Beautiful evening entertainment by the light of the bonfire with drumming and dancing.

We were warmly welcomed by Ibrahim in his super charming small mud houses. The location is very nice and quiet, a bit apart from the village but close enough to go there by foot. Ibrahim also offers very nice tours in the desert. We really appreciated the simplicity of the stay and highly recommend!
