This was a stunning property, syper close and accesable to visit Hallstatt, and the town is picturesque. The host, Michael, is so kind and very happy to help with information and where to go. The bus route is also a few minutes walk so super convenient. The room was very neat, spacious and warm. The views were incredible. If I get the chance I will 100% stay here again. Thank you!

Hosts are the best part of this property for sure. Their heart is at this place and that’s visible. House is just 5 mins walk from Obertraun train station which is the stop after Hallstatt . Everything is mentioned as in the property. They have 5 rooms for guests and the hosts also stay in the same house but in a different floor . Lovely home made simple breakfast , house is really decorated well. We enjoyed hanging out in the common area - there are some beers and wine available to purchase there bcoz there is only 1 supermarket in the entire area. Larry is so much fun and easy to converse with. At the end of the day you leave the place with the feeling that this is a bnb run bcoz of their passion and love and not just a sole business for them and that’s all what matters

Firstly For 1st timers to Halstatt, it's in Obertraun, across the lake from Old Hallstatt Town. Not Hallstatt. Access was easy, get off at Obertraun Dachstein Station, NOT Hallstatt stop. Then walk 300m to the Haus.  There is a sign there indicating the place, but walk further on.  Travel to Hallstatt is by local bus. Best to set up WhatsApp with the proprietor Nina first to let her know the approximate time you'll be there so that she can be ready for you.  Haus is a home that lets out rooms and apartments, not a hotel.  We had a room. On the 2nd level  “1” in the European context,  as ground floor is “0”. A beautifully finished room recently renovated in a Pine. Huge comfortable bed,  modern bathroom, kettle, coffee maker, coffee n tea provided. No fridge (leave butter & milk outside the window) and no safe. Lovely balcony facing the mountains.  Nina was helpful and friendly,  responding to WhatsApp without us needing to disturb her. Nearby is a bakery and small grocery market which close early.  Overall an excellent place to stay to access Hallstatt and pleasant proprietor.  Thank you Nina.

Everything was perfect. The room was very spacious and had a nice view of the lake. It was right in the center and very much walkable. The host, Claudia, was very kind, nice, and helpful. All the staff were also very kind. The free breakfast was also good and there was free tea 24/7. Overall, it was an amazing stay. We would definitely go back again.
