This 3-star, family-run hotel lies in the tranquil Rüttenscheid district of Essen, and is centrally located within easy reach of the Essen exhibition centre, main railway station and Düsseldorf... I loved the room. It was clean. Also, the location was really good as well. There were a lot of good eating places in walking distance.

This boutique hotel is located in Essen’s trendy Rüttenscheid district, a 5-minute walk from the Grugahalle and Essen’s exhibition centre. The room was modern and spacious, even with air conditioning. The hotel was quiet and our baby of 10 month slept perfectly. Usually we never book breakfast and just find something outside but in this case we are glad we last minute decided to add breakfast to our booking. It was very clean and there was definitely something for everyone. We would come back here anytime.

Boasting excellent transport connections, this privately run, 4-star hotel enjoys a woodland location in Bredeney, in south Essen. Shops, tennis courts, and golf facilities are just minutes away. Breakfast was excellent. Best bread rolls and jam!

Hotel an der Gruga is located in the south of Essen, about 25min by car from Düsseldorf airport and just 5min walking distance from my company‘s office. So a perfect location for me. will definitely be back

This hotel is located in the lively Rüttenscheid district, between Essen Main Station and the Grugahalle exhibition center. Clean, spacious, tidy room and bathroom, very quiet area so that you can sleep in peace. All facilities were there and as described in Booking.com, generously supplied with toilet papers and toiletries. Excellent WiFi signal, good central heating, working lift, great location; it is only 3 minutes walk to the nearest U Bahn and tram which take you everywhere, very close to many supermarkets, restaurants and shops. Very friendly reception staff. Special thanks to Mr Ebrahimi who kindly allowed me to have a free of charge early check in. Very rich breakfast, a lot of variety even for vegans, the restaurant staff are so friendly and making sure to constantly restock the open buffet table. Would definitely consider it if I visit Essen again :)
