This hotel is located in the centre of Dresden, a 1-minute walk from the main train station. All rooms at the Hotel Kipping include cable TV and a work desk. Awesome location. Walk 4 minutes across street from train station and walkable to restaurants, shopping, and 20 minutes walk to old town. Very quiet and comfortable. Good size rooms. Staff were warm and welcoming. Good a/c. Would stay again!

I really liked the view from the window on the birds. Parrots were silent during the night. The bed was huge and soft. The bathroom had big shower for 2 people. The soap and shampoo was luxurious. The kitchen had coffee machine and we got many coffee capsules for free. The TV had over 100 programs, Netflix and other apps. The owner is super friendly handsome man. He recommended us where to go, what to see, where to eat. The supermarket, fish market and amazing fish restaurant is nearby.

The location was really good for just wandering into Dresden, the entire place made our time in Germany so much nicer. Honestly can't recommend it enough.

While this is a couple of kilometres or more from the centre of Dresden, it was easy to acccess the city centre by bus, and the walk from the station, though up a gentle slope, is manageable unless you have heavy luggage. As this is a self-catering arrangement, the Konsum store across the road is very convenient.
