Steinenschanze Stadthotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. Rooms were clean and modern. We stayed in a small room but even that was comfortable enough. Staff was so kind and helpful. The location was great, 10 minutes away from every important part of the city.

The building is beautiful and traditional Swiss architecture, which added a lot of value to our short experience in Basel. The room was very cosy and super warm. We particularly loved the bath!
