We got a very big room with high ceilings. We arrived early and were given a room straight away because it was already cleaned. The pub has good food with big portions.

This former monastery offers rooms in the center of Ghent, only 10 minutes’ walk from the Belfry. PoortAckere dates from 1278 and offers unique character, free Wi-Fi and a garden terrace. The old monastery atmosphere was simply just wonderful. I was amazed by how peaceful and how beautiful everything is. I was provided bath rope, slippers, shower cap and towels. The shower and toilet were very clean. My room smelled so nice as well. The from my window I could see the old fashioned colored glass windows of the building, which is just fantastic!

If you love staying in a piece of history this old restored mansion made into a hotel was nice. The breakfast was decent selection.
