The rooms were tidy and very spacious. We were also given bug spray and had incense burnt on our porch every night to keep the mosquitoes away. We had breakfast in the restaurant and the food was great! There were also kayaks that were free of charge to use

This hotel is not a party place.
This hotel is not a party place. It is for relaxation and serenity. The town is a 10 to 15 minutes walk. The pier, 7/11, bakery and many bars and restaurants. Tons of scooters which are basically the only mean of transportation if you don’t want to walk. A nice night market open nightly with good food and souvenirs. After being in Koh Samui for over a month as older people we enjoyed Thongsala because of the ease of walking to town. If you like to shop you will find hundreds of typical beach shopping. The town itself is surprisingly quite big. Definitely on top of our list for favorite beach town.

Thong Sala was our favorite city. Good energy, a lots of good food (a lot of vegan restaurants), markets. Not too party and not too hippie. Was a good mix of everything and of locals and tourists. Very good located to reach all the beaches with the scooter.

I love Thong Sala.
I love Thong Sala. Great food, bars and lots of things to do and see! They have Muaythai Chinnarach who provides the best training even if you just want to learn a new sport or keep fit! There is an english pub The Masons Arm - a friendly guy called Stephen will make you feel so welcome! Great beaches you can walk along and I love the sunsets from Becks Resort!

Clean little town with a big variety of restaurants. Ask for Nopp - he is an amazing, flexible, affordable tour guide who feels more like a friend and takes you around the island at your own pace and wherever you want to go. He also offers bike/scooter riding lessons for you to do your own exploring on a bike/scooter. It is a popular means of transport in Thong Sala and the whole of Koh Pangan. Tho gsala is a good central point to stay , you can then hire a scooter to visit the west (yoga and wellbeing community)and north where the good beaches are (Haad Yao ,Haad salad) or travel south to Haad Rin with sunrise beach and of course the full moon Party Great food market!. Hiring a scooter is a must to get around ,no buses and taxis will start at the pier but getting them elsewhere is a pain and your just have to wait

I was very happy that I found a room near Thongsala Pier at a reasonable price on 1st January. From Panthip Market it is only a short walk (about 5 minutes), from the city center about 10 minutes walk This Hotel is cozy and quiet, it has a small pool for refreshment and offers coffe/tee in the morning. We loved the location, it was close to everything yet a bit removed so it was very peaceful. We were really pleased that the staff picked us up at the pier and then we rented the motorcycle there, so all the logistics were very straightforward. The location in Thong Sala is central but peaceful, especially during parties, as it’s away from the main road. The owners are so kind, welcoming, and have great communication. The bed was really good, and the AC didn’t make any noise at all, which sometimes is a big issue even in big hotels. The location is perfect for people that want some quiet and peace. Personal was very nice and friendly, they helped with information about the island and booking daily boat excursions. I would definitely go back.
