Want to go surfing in Morocco? You need to visit Taghazout Surf Village! A village on the coast of Morocco, not too far from Adagir. Taghazout is well-known for its surfing and its chilled-out hippy vibe but you don’t have to surf or be a pro surfer to enjoy Taghazout! I’m not and I loved it!

The vibe of Taghazout is just so peaceful, it's like the Mocorran Bali...
Also, we went on an adventure not far from there, to watch the sunset and surf on the sand dunes. It was just magical ! We also had the chance to make a campfire, the kids were so happy !
And last bu not least... you HAVE to taste the famous bananas ;)

This was a great warm place to visit In December.
This was a great warm place to visit In December. We were there only three nights, but found plenty to do especially trying out surfing with the dive school Snoopy who had a premises very close by up the road next to the Red cafe which was next to the Teapot cafe. We ate at the Teapot 2 or 3 times, it was excellent especially the chia and mango parfait, and avocado on soda bread. Lively town with loads of young laid back cool surfers and met only friendly people. We also enjoyed Windy Bay and World of Wave restaurants overlooking the main beach. The water was rough though but exciting to paddle in, and concerns for so many wild cats and dogs, and many gorgeous puppies roaming around. Also don’t expect clean beaches or well made roads and paths, but if you overlook that, you may find it as charming as we did.

A great place for surf and chill.
A great place for surf and chill.
Panorama is a good spot for beginners to intermediate and Anchor Point is where it happens if you're more advanced (and not scared of rocks and impose yourself in the line-up), there is also Banana Point and Devil's Rock down south within a 10 minutes taxi ride and Mysteries, Killer's Point and PK25 on the north to visit.
Taghazout itself got a bit touristic these last years (I mean you can now get Acaï bowl and there is a bunch of fancy coworking spaces to sleep and work) but it's still great to stay and there is a lot of option for food and activities. You'll also meet a lot of people from all around the world (mostly surfers obviously).
The sunset from the Skate park on top of the hill is also a must see and you can rent a skateboard in town.
If you want a more authentic atmosphere you can go to Imsouane which is a bit more remote, but Taghazout is still a very nice place to stay for a week or two.

Lovely hotel with great views overlooking the beach and ocean. Clean and spacious rooms, lovely pool and spa facilities that were not overly expensive.
Great selection of excellent food and they were even able to cater for my wheat intolerance (gluten free).
The staff were friendly, particularly the reception staff offering lots of information about local facilities and trips.
Nice location with front row seats to the surfing at Anchor Point (an expert surf break due to the sharp rocks and steep waves)
We liked the place, more Morocco than Europe feeling- lots of outdoor space and pretty tiled bathroom. The floor we slept on housed the surf boards and got humid, just part of being by the beach. It is definitely a hostel so expect to share kitchen, tables, and noises. The staff are super kind, especially the volunteer who works so hard to give guests a warm welcome. Bring her gifts and get ready to chill 😎
Hyatt's impeccable service, luxurious amenities, and serene ambiance left a lasting impression, ensuring a delightful and memorable stay experience.
Taghazout Hyatt impressed with top-notch breakfast, spacious accommodations, and exceptional staff service, creating a memorable and satisfying stay experience.
I had a great time at BigBlue, the stuff were very friendly and helpful but the location was the best, right in the heart of Taghazout close to everything, I enjoyed the close beach (few steps from the hostel). There's also a rooftop terrace which has a mesmerizing view of the ocean and the whole village.
Jean Claude and Brahim were amazing. So considerate and couldn't do enough to support us all the way from booking, through to departure, they were both attentive and responsive.
The apartment is truly fantastic. Panoramic views of both Taghazout Bay and paradise Cove make this an exceptional location,
Really clean apartment, situated at the north end of Taghazout. Right beside some great hotels. It's quiet, a short walk to a mini mart/ATM and the centre of Taghazout. We were very happy staying here, the view is great there was always hot water and the apartment has all the facilities we needed
I liked the pool although it is kind of small but it is a beautiful one. And the beds were so comfortable. The staff is welcoming and the views are amazing especially from the room where we stayed or from the rooftop.
P.s: if you love cats, there is a cute one in the hotel. She is pretty friendly
Hyatt Regency has the Best location in Taghazout with a direct access to an almost private beach. The staff is super friendly ; the hotel has great food and a rich animation program ; a special mention to the housekeeping staff who was effective, discreet and meeting the family special requests.
I liked the quality of the rooms and facilities. The rooftop was beautiful and spacious. It felt comforting have people around but there weren’t too many people there. The breakfasts were lovely and the yoga classes by Maes was exceptional. I will stay here next time I’m in taghazout.
The best hotel and location and service .. cleaning all the rooms and suite best view good vibes in the hotel staff very friendly and professionals,
I would like special thank to Fatim zahra it amazing service professional person we were lucky to deal with her tnx you for everything
An amazing hostel right in the heart of Taghazout! I love the vibe and cleanliness. The staff are incredibly accommodating, friendly and fun. It is not difficult to make friends especially if you are a solo traveler. Kekai Surf House is your home and family in Taghazout, Morocco.
One of several nice looking hotels in Taghazout.
This is closest hotel to Taghazout town - a 15min walk along the coast, so very convenient for meals.
The individual room cabins are in keeping with the landscape.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Nice buffet breakfast.
Cheapest place in Taghazout, friendly staff, gigantic and furnished kitchen, cosy and big rooftop, clean. Compared to many hostel and riad in Morocco, here you have a lot of space and sunlight in the living areas and a beautiful ocean view from the rooftop.
Breakfast was great. The bed was the best we had so far in Morocco and the room was amazing. Location also, we just expected Taghazout to have a little bit more to offer, but that has nothing to do with Munga guesthouse, which was great!
Everything was amazing the room was amazing and clean, all the restaurants had great food with fresh products. But the best thing was the staff, i have never seen people that nice all of the staff at the hotel were nice.
The hotel is in a fantastic location on Taghazout Bay. You can have takes walks along the beach, enjoy a camel ride or surf with some of the best waves I've seen. The staff are very friendly and are happy to help.
The staff from reception to room cleaning to breakfast servers were AMAZING.
The best breakfast and service with a smile EVER!
The hotel sits on top of a hill. The view is very nice but far from the beach.
Loved the staff, esp the young man at the front desk. Everything very clean, food very good, my bungalow was fantastic. Great location on the beach with easy walking access to Taghazout.
Great location. Much quieter than Taghazout which we found so nice for our family.
Tidy area, staff were nice.
There is a hotel down the beach that rents surf boards, wet suits etc.
Helpful host, very nice terrace at the top of the building with excellent view of the bay and the beach. Very central location, close to all amenities in the town center.
Great place to stay in Taghazout, really nice terrace. Hosts are super nice , breakfast is very good. Great place to meet other people, would definitely stay here again!
