The staff was very helpful, my stay was quite short so I can't say much more. The room was quite big along with the shower, both the room and the bathroom were reasonably clean. Did not have breakfast so no comment on that.

Beware of staying in an "HOTEL" calling itself Il Moulino Relais
The description in Booking com is definately wrong.
It's not an hotel by all means. Its a villa.
we stayed there a horrible night and ran away the next morning
We were alone without any staff at a open and deserted villa who describes itself as an top Hotel.
Keep out

Except missing chairs in the room (no one chair at all), and no electrical receptaples ( where to connect your computer?? no chance),. forgot to mention that wi-fi signal there is only in the ground floor but very weak or no signal at first floor, Also, looks like new practice, almost all hotels have no reception service, you never see the owner, only key collecting by means of code/pin but very often the owners not sending in time mentioned pin/code, I know it is something new, modern, but that is all together a big bulsh..t, hotel owners are going to loose clients I'm sure and I'm not sorry about them....

Piacenza is the kind of town I love to visit: an under the radar gem that has some lovely architecture, some interesting museums, great food, and very friendly locals who are really happy you came to visit. Very few tourists, and most of them were Italian! It is comfortably walkable, on the Milan to Rimini line that goes right across Emilia-Romagna, and I'd say it's well worth a day-and-a-half visit. Another lovely town quite close by with the same kind of vibe (though its a bit more famous because of Antonio Stradivari, a centuries-long tradition of violin making, and the violin museum there) is Cremona.

The only thing I enjoyed about Piacenza was how compact the city center is. However, there aren't many places that are worth traveling there for. By foot is the easiest means of getting around Piacenza...it's not really necessary to take public transport.

There are too many nice places to go in Italy to spend time here. In fact, to me, all of Emilia-Romagna can be skipped. Try Lombardia, Umbria, Toscana . . . hell, it's hard to find a region in Italy that doesn't offer much more than E-R.

Beautiful city!
Beautiful city!
The city centre is magnificent, the little shops on main street are charming.
I would recommend to visit Piazza Cavalli and Duomo and just walk around the city centre. Also visit Parco della Galleana (its a park) is very beautiful specially with the autumn colours.
Take a stroll down pubblico passeggio.
Lastly I would finish the evening with a dinner at LoFai restaurant (incredible vegan food for vegans and non vegans...but I would recommend to call ahead as it gets quite crowded) and drinks at Caffè dei Mercanti which is just meters away from Piazza Cavalli and it is a charming place.
there is a hotel in a historic building with no reception =) you call to hotel (the number you can find in a conformation of your reservation) and the person tells you where you can find the key and where is your room. I was confused when I did not find a reception, thanks to another guest - he helped me. Anyway, when you come into the room, you feel like in medieval castle and just enjoy the stay
This is a lovely, well equipped apartment. You can see the love and care in all details. Nice and spacious bathroom, with soft towels, soap, even toothbrush provided. Well equipped kitchen, coffee machine, milk frother (!). Huge balcony. Working wifi, Netflix, even washing machine. We enjoyed it very much.
It is not in the centre, but Piacenza is small. Lidl and other shops are in 200-400 metres.
Lovely apartment, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom in a perfect central position (one can spot the top of Palazzo Gotico in the central Piazza Cavalli from the window).
Only 15min by walk from the train station and 10min from the amazing Palazzo Farnese. Plenty of restaurants, bars, bakeries and shops around.
Totally recommended if you decide to visit Piacenza.
We arrived in Piacenza one hour before check-in time, but since the apartment was already ready, we were allowed to check in right after our arrival. We were met outside and told everything in detail. It's very convenient that there's an option to leave your luggage after check out. We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Highly recommended!
A very good "agriturismo" hotel located in a quiet and peaceful area outside Piacenza. Easy to reach from the highway. Spacious and clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful hosts who really make you feel like home. Excellent breakfast, which the hosts bring to your room in the morning. We travelled by car so the private parking was much appreciated.
Owner is really nice and friendly
We were delayed 4 hrs and yet they were very understanding
The location is easy to find and a practical stop after milano
They prepared a bunk bed for my kid and she loved it
Good surprise it had a balcony and bathroom is really big
tea and coffee are for free.
Rooms are clean and spacious, the building is lovely and in the city center, staff was very welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, they also recommended great places to for food and breakfast and amazing further tips for our travel from Piacenza
The apartment was peaceful, clean, and beautiful. My family felt very comfortable there while visiting friends in Piacenza. It was also very close to many restaurants and gelato places. The owner was very easily reached and very helpful if we needed anything.
Breakfast was adequate, unremarkable compared to the other 5 hotels I stayed at on this trip. The second room I was given after I found the first room unacceptable was excellent. A short walk to the exhibition area.
Everything was excellent, the apartments have all you need and more. Beautiful design, comfy balcony, all equipment, these two days in Piacenza were a pleasure, thanks to Francesco! We will definitely come back)
Quaint, family-run B&B centrally located; easy check-in and check-out; with good on-street parking options; walking distance to all of Piacenza's main sights. Suitably-sized and quiet room, comfortable bed.
Before I booked the hotel the told me that aircondition is inside but when I got there it was just a fan inside and very hot in the room . That is very bad
Excellent - an amazing choice and freshly baked pastries every day. The hotel is highly recommended and always stay at the hotel on our visits to Piacenza.
Unfortunately have nothing to highlight as a positive thing from the hotel, perhaps the kind attention despite the poor quality of the facilities overall
