We stayed in Nafplio for 2 days but we could have stayed much longer because it is beautiful town with many places to visit. From here we went to Epidaurus, Tyrins and Mycenae, all these are extraordinary archeological sites. The Palamidi fortress is a huge medieval citadel that sits on a hill overlooking the city, very impressive and well conserved, a masterpiece on itself. The problem there is the parking lot which is really very very small for the huge amount of visitors. It is very crowded at most times. The city center is very picturesque, narrow streets with beautiful houses and flowers everywhere, lots of small shops and boutiques.

Nafplio is a lovely and picturesque town, with lots of good restaurants and shops. It's in a lovely setting, and there are a fair few things to see and visit in the town itself, while it also makes a great base for exploring the rest of the Peloponnese. The only thing it lacks is a top quality beach, which is perhaps just as well or it would be overflowing with tourists!

although nafplio itself is not large, especially if you stick to the old town which is the most interesting part it is a good base for local tours either with a bus/ktel, affordable taxi or a car. We would have liked to at least check out Epidavros as well and a near by monastery. if you plan to visit nearby sites without basing your self in nafplio 2 days is plenty other wise 4 days to fit Mycenae and Epidavrus

3 nights max is perfect for Nafplio during the winter season. The city is beautiful, the Venesian forst was fabulous and the food is good. The only issue I have with the city is the terrible smell, air quality that seems to start around 5pm and continues until about 8 pm.
Very nice host. The apartment is conveniently located in the old town area with walking distance to many attractions, situated on an elevated spot overlooking the ocean and fortress. very well maintained with a lot of attention to details. We enjoyed so much during our 1- day stay exploring Nafplion, dinner on the harbour, wondering around the cute little town, hike to the castle in the morning and come back to the hotel for a nice breakfast on the terrace. Very very cozy.
The host was one of the most friendly souls we’ve come across during our holiday in Greece. Upon arrival we were welcomed with delicious cinnamon cookies, homemade by his mother. He also provided us with lists of non touristic places to eat and beautiful beaches to go to. The room was lovely and very clean. We loved every second of our stay in Nafplio, mainly because of the amazing hospitality of asimoni pension. We highly recommend this place!
Very nice hotel at a strategic location. our room faced the water line with fantastic views. the room as all of the hotel looks quite new and very well maintained. close to everything. Nafplio is a very nice town worth a visit and I would definitely stay here again.
they do not have parking but you can drive to the entrance through a small pathway (they have a sign - dont miss it) to drop your bags and then wind a parking space nearby.
We had a beautiful stay at Rigas Pension. It is hard to put to words the feeling we had staying there—the accommodation was so warm and homey and the staff so incredibly hospitable. The rooms were impeccably clean and the breakfast was SO GOOD—every day we had something new and different, but always so delicious. A true 10/10 accommodation. We are so grateful we ended our 28 day trip to Greece on such a high note.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the most charming apartment in Nafplio, Greece, and I cannot express enough how exceptional my experience was. From the moment I stepped through the door, I knew I had found a true gem among accommodations. For my one-night stay, this apartment provided everything I needed and more, leaving me with unforgettable memories of this beautiful city.
This is a superb place to stay. The building is stylish and very comfortable and the location ideal for exploring Nafplio. However, it is the welcome, and detailed information from Akis and his mother that makes this such a standout place to stay. That and the breakfasts - probably the best in Greece (or anywhere!}. Would happily recomend and we will be back..
A Newer clean facility. It was a 5minute drive from the harbor of Nafplion. You will probably need a car. The location is pleasant and private. the breakfast was really good and the owners were friendly and helpful. Google maps takes you to the wrong address, so make sure you enter the actual address of the hotel into google maps, and not just the hotel name.
You could really never ask for a better host than Evelyn. She made sure everything was always on point, from the cozy accommodation to the breakfast or the very interesting conversations about Greece in the garden. Everything was as ideal as one can imagine!! I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Nafplio.
2km out of Nafplio and no safe walking path into town so took a taxi or drove in and out.

Room comfortable.
Beautiful balcony
Wonderful shower.
Continental and Greek breakfast was good.
Beautiful gardens and scenery
Lots to see in Nafplio
Our stay here was exceptional. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the hotel is situated right in the middle of Nafplio's beautiful city centre. The staff are all nice and attentive and the breakfast was delicious (and cheap!). We loved our time here and definitely recommend it to everyone.
Excellent choice for a one night stay in Nafplion. Great location. We appreciated the suggestion offered by the staff at the reception to take the Nafplia Palace Hotel lift (at the end of the little street) to go up to the Clock Tower to watch thesunset above the sunset over the city. Fabulous.
Lestel apartments are a typical boutique hotel in Nafplio. The room is nicely furnished, also with a small kitchen. We enjoyed the outdoor seating area that can be used by all apartments in the building. Also, the view of the castle was really nice.
The location was perfect for a short trip to Nafplio. The fortress was right outside of the property. The bus stop that connects Nafplio to other big cities in Greece is also extremely close by. Furthermore the hosts were super friendly and kind.
Great little hotel in the middle of Nafplio's old town. Free parking only a few hundred meters away. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large colonial-style room with very comfortable king-size bed. Simple but good breakfast. Highly recommended!
The design hotel and rooms.
The city itself and the location of the property.
The lady at reception.
Helpful and very friendly
The gigantic round double bed.
Superb breakfast all made to order. Possibly the nicest we had in greece.
The hotel's location is excellent as it is directly in front of the beach of Nea Kios and it is 10 minutes away from Nafplio. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and the breakfast was great!
