Golden is a nice location actually. I generally stay in Radium but do feel that a few days in the Golden region would be nice -- lots of attractions to keep one busy thats for sure. They also have an amazing Mexican food restaurant.

A good location to stop if travelling across the mountains.
A good location to stop if travelling across the mountains. Close to several ski and mountain activies, with a wide range of wildlife in the area. The town itself has several amenities ranging from restaurants to supermakets (though if you go into the shop Save on Foods, make sure you get the code from the tubs with loose food before heading up to the checkout), with the river running alongside it. Petrol station, though doesn't sell diesel.

The Northern Lights Wolf centre and the Buffalo ranch were the two highlights of the tour, really amazing to experience these creatures so close but with great conservation efforts being made by both organizations.
The town of Golden was small but cute, probably a great spot for the ski season.

We booked this hotel/lodge because we were coming from Jasper and the following day, we are headed to Banff. Its quite secluded and there is no food to buy around the area. But the room has all the amenities needed. Very nice bathroom, dining room, and bedroom. The view from our room is mountain. There's a free parking at the basement, just inform the front desk. We were able to visit Emerald Lake and Natural bridge from this hotel and an hr away from Lake Louise Summer Gondola... This place is very good place for skiing

The town of Golden is a beautiful place to visit.
The town of Golden is a beautiful place to visit. Nice stop on your travels from Alberta to B.C. destinations. Would recommend staying in one of the many CHAIN HOTELS. Also book your accommodations early, as hotels do book up quickly in this area.
The lodge is a few miles from the center of Golden, but the snow on the road was packed down when we drove out there. We had no issues driving there or finding the lodge. We chose this particular place because of the location and the view. The view was spectacular. The lodge has a very welcoming atmosphere. There was a fire in the fireplace in the center of the room, and was a very nice touch. The staff was congenial and helpful, and overall this was a very idealic getaway!
The restaurant was quite amazing! Dinner upon arrival was excellent, with a tasty twist to each dish. Service was 5 star. The front desk staff were very friendly, looking after all my needs. The room was like a typical standard two queen bed hotel room with the added benefits of being spacious, clean and comfortable. Great place to stay in the summer if you are hiking.
The hotel was very beautiful, surrounded by a spectacular environment. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They upgraded our room, and we enjoyed it a lot. The hot tub was amazing. There was complimentary coffee, which was a nice touch. We would definitely return, highly recommended.
Everything - Bruce and Cathy were amazing, the breakfast was awesome even when Cathy did a breakfast to go and the room/house was stunning!
Golden is the perfect spot to explore the Rockies, even going as far as Banff itself but without having to deal with Banff traffic on a daily basis.
5 minutes drive to the city center.
the room is very spacious. It has fridge and microwave& coffe maker but no water jug to boil water. Close to the new Golden Bridge adventure.
overall, it was a good stay. Will recommend to friends and relatives.
Best value in Golden by a mile. The owners and staff wee super accommodating to us, check in and check out was an absolute breeze. The rooms were super clean, and beds were comfy. We will for sure be coming back to stay on our next sled trip.
Clean, quiet, good sized rooms, great green space out back for dogs! The complimentary breakfast was fresh and warm (eggs, potato, bacon, fruit, waffles). The staff very pleasant and professional. It is a great hotel for a reasonable price.
We could not cancel, needed to due to fires in the region, after being told by Mary's staff we could, fraudulent, had to pay full fare did not even stay, will never do business again with hotel or this terrible dishonest booking.com,
Very nice room, but it wasn't easy to find in the large building. The lodge is 10km outside of Golden and there was only one choice for a place to eat dinner without driving back into Golden.
This is my favorite motels in Golden. Excellent parking for motorcycle. Close to ski resort. Next door to brewery and pizza. Much better value than motels on main highway, no road noise
The facilities at the Golden Village Lodge were excellent and I would definitely stay there again. A bonus is the excellent Indian restaurant next door -- large menu of excellent food.
Huge, Clean, Spa, etc. Everything was there what we needed. View is great. Enjoyed a lot during. We did golden skybridge, zipline and rafting while staying. Must visit place!
Loved the setting and the super-friendly hotel management. Everything was very clean. Very nice view from practically every room. Morning coffee was great.
