We were on our way from Northern Portugal to Madrid Spain, and found this place on the way. So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.

Appartments are modern, clean, we felt like at home. View from the terace is millon worth!!! Highly recomend for those who look for silent, calm and cosy place!

I’ve had a amazing experience during the day I was there. The wine tasting, the story about the winery, the comfort of the bedrooms… Everything was really good.

Situated in Tarouquela in the Norte Region region, ALDEIA DA MARGARIDA features a balcony. This country house has a rooftop pool, a garden and free private parking. This was one of the best stays we ever had. The premises are beautiful and of very high quality. Pedro and his wife as well as their staff are exceptionally friendly and want you to feel comfortable at any time. Also the food was amazing. This is a great stay for everyone, but also as family we really recommend it. We will definitely come back.

Situated in Peso da Régua, 4.2 km from Douro Museum and 10 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, Quinta do Valdalágea features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, a garden and a shared... The property was amazing. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were awesome. We had a private wine tasting accompanied by good conversation. Breakfast was outstanding.

The owners/hosts made the experience absolutely wonderful. The port wine tasting and dinner experience was one for the books. The property was gorgeous,clean and well maintained.

Featuring garden views, Canastro Country House features accommodation with free bikes and a patio, around 37 km from Santa Maria da Feira Castle. We were very well welcomed to the property by the owner and had some homemade products waiting for us. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Totally recommend this place to stay.

Offering garden views, Quinta de Santa Marinha is an accommodation located in Castedo, 41 km from Douro Museum and 35 km from Mateus Palace. Lovely place unfortunately had bad weather but would love to come back with the sunshine. Very warm welcome from Cidalia and her son who is simply a very good Chef as well. We had a great dinner cooked for us and enjoyed their tapas the following day. The room with spa bath is big and have a wonderful view. We would have liked to enjoy the private terrasse overlooking the river but rain didn’t allow it! I can only highly recommend this place it’s a great choice but you’ll need to drive to dine out or best choice is to choose their tapas!

Casa de Campo das Sécias is located in Vilas Boas, which a part of popular Vila Flor. Host very helpful in allowing me to use her printer to print boarding passes. Breakfast was not just the standard continental bread and coffee, but included fruit, cereals, range of breads and toast and condiments and cheeses, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Room was large. Area is very quiet.
