We were on our way from Northern Portugal to Madrid Spain, and found this place on the way. So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.

Qunita de Sao Luiz is located high off the main road and has the most amazing view across the Duoro River & Valley. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed with everything you need on hand -they are extremely quiet and peaceful. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with an excellent selection. All in all it was a fabulous stay and one night wasn't long enough.

Situated in Tarouquela in the Norte Region region, ALDEIA DA MARGARIDA features a balcony. This country house has a rooftop pool, a garden and free private parking. Great spot to come down. We truly felt welcome and the host & especially the lady who took care of us the whole stay where great. Awesome self cooked dinner and fresh chestnuts which where picked up in their own gardens as an add on tasted delicious. A place to be not only sleep! Thank you and we will recommend you for sure.

Situated in Peso da Régua, 4.2 km from Douro Museum and 10 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, Quinta do Valdalágea features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, a garden and a shared... The Quinta do Valdelágea was lovely. It had my essential requirements: a good shower with plenty of hot water and comfy beds. The breakfast was delicious and especially nice the last day when we could eat outside. Anabel was most helpful. This was probably our favorite place in our entire Portugal stay.

Quinta da Pousada Casa de Campo, a property with free bikes and a garden, is set in Santa Marta de Penaguião, 26 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, 28 km from Natur Waterpark, as well as 19 km... Everything! But I suppose that Carlos, the manager with his warm smile, patient and friendly way, was what really stood out.

Featuring garden views, Canastro Country House features accommodation with free bikes and a patio, around 37 km from Santa Maria da Feira Castle. We were very well welcomed to the property by the owner and had some homemade products waiting for us. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Totally recommend this place to stay.

Offering garden views, Quinta de Santa Marinha is an accommodation located in Castedo, 41 km from Douro Museum and 35 km from Mateus Palace. The view from this property is spectacular. Delicious breakfast, very warm services from the host. Room is clean and cosy. Value for money, can’t really expect more. Will definitely come back for our next trip.

An exceptional spot in the Douro valley. Great location, wonderful view of the Douro River, beautifully landscaped grounds with lots of recreational facilities - we will be back 🫶

Casa de Campo das Sécias is located in Vilas Boas, which a part of popular Vila Flor. Host very helpful in allowing me to use her printer to print boarding passes. Breakfast was not just the standard continental bread and coffee, but included fruit, cereals, range of breads and toast and condiments and cheeses, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Room was large. Area is very quiet.
