We fell in love with Tuy Hoa, it’s a town that tourism hasn’t destroyed. The beaches are amazing and the surrounding district a delight to explore. A must is to travel the coast road south of Tuy Hoa down to Dia Lanh. The scenery is amazing. You can stop along the way for a swim. Going North is lovely as well. The town of Tuy Hoa has numerous restaurants and cafes and lots of out door areas for people to wonder. The city lay out has been planned for future growth so the roads are wide. Lots of shops and food markets. All in all it’s a lovely clean city.

Tuy Hoa is a nice town and easy to walk to from the hotel.
Tuy Hoa is a nice town and easy to walk to from the hotel. To see anything further away its necessary to hire a motorbike or take a taxi. There are lots of good local restaurants, especially along the fishing quay which is approximately 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The town is quiet and peaceful and easy to walk around.

Tuy Hoa has the feel of a small countryside town.
Tuy Hoa has the feel of a small countryside town.
The beaches look great and the Cham temple is nice. Also our road trip to Vung Ro by scooter was memorable, taking the ocean road, passing through mountains and sand dunes arriving at the sea.
However, other than that there was not much there to see and do other than look at the ocean and visit the (one) Cham temple. I understand that local people arrive by bus from Saigon or neighbouring provinces for a short trip.
For foreign visitors, I would say, this location does not compare in any way to Danang / Hoi An with its many sights and options, cafe's, restaurants and bars. It just does not have the tourist infrastructure that foreign visitors would look for and appreciate (bars, cafes, restaurants, events, water activities, boat trips, etc.).
We could not find an independent cosy bar in Tuy Hoa beyond some large 'drinkhouses' that local people/men (?) prefer. There were also limited attractive looking restaurants and Cafes. Sitting on tiny plastic chairs at the harbour and being told by restaurant staff they had no drinking water for us to drink, was a real let down.
I also would have wished the town had more cosy bungalow type hotels along the beach, such as in Phu Quoc, Thailand or Bali, so that we did not have to stay in one of the few large, high rise type 5 star hotels along the coast, just to have a view of the ocean.
We spent 2 days on sights and that was about right.

Small city, just developing for travelling and tours, very few services of local tours, daily tours, delivery and supermarket. The sights and views are still natural and less artificial. The prices of bistro foods and homestay rooms are rather cheap or not too much expensive for tourists. The coast and sea are pretty dangerous for swimming but the view and atmosphere are peace, silence, cool and beautiful.

The roads were wide, the pavement even and clean, most of the time.
Very nice parks all over the city.
It seamed to be a rich part of the country with big and clean houses. Especially along the long sandy beach
I love Phu Yen and had the chance to visit the province 6 times so far. I stayed at Sala Grand TuyHoa hotel 3 times and really like the place. The facilities are great. The room is spacious and comfy. Staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. Renting a motorbike is super easy and can be done at the hotel directly. The location is right in front of the beach and they have a nice café (on the beach) where you can easily do some remote work.
The location was good, in a central neighbourhood.
The design concept was excellent.
The staff, seemed shy of international guests, but were accommodating.
We had communication with someone prior to arriving about taxi transport from Vinh Hoa beach, & whoever we were texting were an excellent help, so thank you to who ever it was. They spoke good English.
The Tuy Hoa market was the 👌 best.
Nearby beach is quiet and one of the cleanest in the country. Staff are helpful and arrange full tasty seafood meals for a reasonable price. The place has view to a meadow and farmland with cows. Not much noise from traffic or karaoke. 3 generations of owners live there too. Renting a motorcycle is possible, parking your own also. Internet was fast and reliable.
Located in the suburbs of Tuy Hoa, the place is nicely designed and calm away from the main road. The amenities are of good quality, the room is spacious, the air conditioning and the wifi are working. There is no good beach nearby, you have to motorbike away for nice beach (North direction). You can go to Tuy Hoa for dinner if you can drive motorbike or car
Check-in procedure was a little confusing and took time to navigate because even though there is a hotel in the same APEC building, this unit is operated independently from the hotel. Thus, make sure to coordinate arrival time and meeting place by contacting host before arrival to prevent any miscommunications.
Location is next to the beach, very nice. staff is friendly. Service is good. There are 2 swimming pools for you to enjoy. I ordered the black coffee at the pool bar and the price was reasonable.
A nice quiet hotel. All rooms are decorated in their own style - I got Super Mario (hello, childhood). The staff helped with all the questions. TV shows English-language channels with movies.
The property is near the sea in Tuy Hoa, right in the center but in a quiet corner. Our room has a nice balcony with full of wind. The room is large. Everyone had a nice sleep.
Very conveniently located in central Tuy Hoa and exceptional value for money. Make sure you get a room facing the side or the courtyard as the roadside can be louder.
The Hotel is in the center of Tuy Hòa. It takes about 5 - 8 minutes to the nearest beach. There is a nice rooftop coffee on the 6th floor. The waiter is friendly.
The homestay is pretty close to the beach
