My favorite hotel in 2 weeks in Taiwan. Great base to explore the Tainan city center. Fantastic, expansive breakfast. Huge bed. Free shuttle bus to the train station. Free laundry station in the basement. Sparkling water fountains, big teddy bears in the lobby, oh the decadence! Thank you for the great stay.

The room was big and had 2 toilets and one bathroom. Great for a family of 4. The two large double beds were very comfortable for 4 adults. There was a 24-hour family mart just next to the hotel.

The entrance to the hotel building is shockingly old . I thought I made a mistake for booking that hotel. There are 2 old elevators that lead up to the hotel. Once the elevator door opens, it is shockingly new and pleasant. You enter into a different 100 % different world.
I liked my room because it was well light. I remember there was a chair next to the window that I spent a few hours reading my iPad. The bed was comfortable. The WiFi was strong and the shower good. The location was near many restaurants and a river. I walked to Fort Zeelandia from there.

Anping sights would definitely take up the whole day.
Anping sights would definitely take up the whole day. Tainan is a lovely place to be with an excellent variety of history, cultural sites, temples, markets, and general fun things to do. Could definitely have stayed longer than 2 full days for a few extra day trips nearby, and to try more of the local things.

Traditional city that almost represents the development history of Taiwan city, including the building, religion and the famous street food. Actually Tainan keeps its unique culture of Taiwan city, then based on the culture attracting a big scale of Taiwan humanities and cultures.

Tainan is known for local delicacies, which we found to be true. The night market is not crowded and you can buy many delicious items without waiting in line. The Chimei Museum is nearby and we enjoyed visiting it.

Tainan was awesome. There is so much to see and do! The free cultural walking trip of the Confucius Temple and other parts of Tainan was amazing (Emma was my tour guide- she was extremely knowledgeable, her English was excellent, and she was so informative). Anping area had a ton of culture, a market, Temples, and amazing food to enjoy. I also enjoyed the Garden night market (different markets are open on different days). It was busy and crowded but there were so many great vendors selling clothes, jewelry, electronics, and more. The food selection was also impeccable. I was only in Tainan for a day and a half. I would have spent a few more if I had the time!

Tainan is an underrated, if not, underappreciated city that withholds treasures of different sorts for you, the traveler, to discover. The cheap, delectable street food is not to be missed, in addition to the hot sunny days, which could be a relief if you happen to be traveling from the miserably humid city of Taipei.
That said, Tainan is best explored on bike/scooter, as many attractions are spread out with quite some distance in between. Fortunately, Tainan's government offers electric YouBikes for rental, which could ease the pedaling by quite a bit.
The location is within the heart of old town Tainan, plenty of yummy and local eats within walking distance. The owners operate their yummy churro business on the ground floor in the afternoon and rents out the entire 2nd floor and you have the entire apartment to yourself from 7pm to 12pm, so perfect for a group of friends or small family (esp with young kids). Great VALUE.
I often stay at Tie Daio when I go to Tainan. The hotel is very near to the main train station, the rooms are big enough and clean enough, the wifi works. The price is extremely competitive.
They provide basic toiletries and water. The aircon works well. The dark room with no windows is probably unhealthy for long stays but it was great for a good quiet night sleep.
This place is AMAZING!!.I come from a hotel background and this is best place I've stayed at in Taiwan. From the time I checked in with my birthday cake, until the time I checked out. The staff was amazing and the entire place was beautiful! I will stay here many more times in the future. The best parts were the pool, watching movies in the spa tub and the POOL!!
We had a great stay at this hotel, centrally located, minutes from the bus stop after getting the bus from the HSR. The owner is very friendly and gave us good restaurant suggestions and alerted us to the activities in the area. Property was spotless and very safe. Apartment was quiet. Would return on next trip!
The hotel was in close proximity of Tainan TRA and near major shopping area like xinguang sanyue and some other attractions etc. The hotel is along an alley. No direct car access, you have to stop by a nearby street and walk-in. Hotel was clean and quiet, the room I booked was the only room on that floor.
The hotel is big and the location is in the central of Tainan city. The hotel is near Tainan main station and the southeast Asia food area. It was easy when you need to take a bus or Uber taxi to go to visit many places in Tainan. The room was big and clean and the hotel was very nice.
Really clean, beautiful, large room. Wonderful location only a 12 minute walk from Tainan train station! They also offered chips and a fruit plate when we arrived which was a nice surprise too! And there is a water bottle filling station in the gorgeous main area too
The staff who checked us in was very friendly, professional and kindly let us get to our room early. The hotel is a quick walk from the Tainan train station. It has a very good sauna and whirlpool facilities and a nice outdoor pool. The room had a great city view.
The staff were very helpful. They made sure my logistics to and fro business meetings were arranged the night before. All my meetings went smoothly and I will strongly recommend this hotel for business stay to all guests travelling to Tainan for business meetings.
almost near the heart of Tainan city, with some delicious food around.
The living room is very comfortable, with a great kitchen. If you have some work to do there's a mac could be use. A very delicate hotel where you'll never get bored when stay here.
Very central, convenience store downstairs, good value, bunks are good. Though Tainan was a complete waste of time, there are so many more beautiful and interesting places in Taiwan, and the bus system is confusing to say the least..
This hotel is located not far from the train station and also near the Tainan Museum of fine arts. It is affordable, while also being a hotel, not a hostel. The rooms are spacious, the staff very professional.
There's only one room for each floor, and the room was very spacious and clean! The location was really good as well, just a 5-minute walking distance from the Tainan train station. Highly recommended.
I would call this place as Homestay. All the decors brought me back in time, mixed with Japanese and Taiwanese styles. It locates in small and quiet alleys, makes the trip to Tainan nostalgic.
One of the best experiences with Fuward Hotel Tainan. Very nice and cooperative staff, good breakfast with varieties but missing Muslim Halal Food. Very clean and good location.
