It is a very beautiful and peaceful area.
It is a very beautiful and peaceful area. It's a good idea to include Pamukkale on your Turkey visit route. One day should be enough.
Note: entry to access the thermal pools is expensive but covers a very large area. Consider knowing if they have water so you don't make a trip in vain.

The ruins of Hierapolis are worth visiting.
The ruins of Hierapolis are worth visiting. The rest was a huge disappointment. We were unable to see any similarity with the tourist promotion photos. The white thermal pools with blue water can barely be seen. Cleopatra's pool is a trap for tourists. Extra payment is required.
The thermal pools are artificial, slippery and full of tourists. We have to walk barefoot on aggressive flooring.
The entrance at the bottom next to the city is a mistake. It requires you to walk up barefoot for more than 500 meters on very harsh ground for your feet.

This place is only worth visiting if you have never been there. Even so, you have to manage your expectation and forget about all the photographs about Pamukkale you saw, which is pretty much the magic of a good photographer. Most of the pool are dried and there are far too many people.
The Herapolis ruins is surprising good and well- maintained, which I would perfer to stay there longer. Our visit via the north gate is a good choice though.

I read many reviews of people complaining about lack of water or the site globally turning grey. Climate change. I was visiting mid September after months of no rain and water was enough to understand why even Cleopatra came there: Hierapolis (full) visit is amazing. I recommend people to read a bit the story of this city before visiting

You just need 1 day in Pamukkale.
You just need 1 day in Pamukkale. The best experience; wake up early and get to the South gate by 06H30, when it's not busy. Spend the first hour or so viewing the travertines and open-air ruins. There may be less water than what you see in videos. Rather than bathing the shallow, man-made travertine pools, get to the Ancient Pool by 08H00 and pay to swim there. It is an amazing experience before 08H30, when the crowds get there.
This is the best hotel we have stayed in Turkey by far. The Owner and his family are super friendly, they always offer you food and drinks. They also took us to visit the cerviches houses in a nice night walk.
The breakfast is a huge amount of really good food from the Owner's garden (you would not be hungry until dinner time).
Also, the hotel has two thermal pools and one swimming pool, so it is possible even to take a bath in winter.
The room is really big, it has a kitchen zone and the beds are comfortable.
modern, spacious and clean. much more than we thought it would be. the breakfast had lots of selection which we appreciated. the location of the hotel is within walking distance to the middle gate of Pamukkale. They also provide a free shuttle service in the morning to the South Gate of Pamukkale which was awesome. After visiting the thermal pools, we were going to walk 40mins down the hill back to the hotel but were lucky enough to come across the hotel’s official van who drove us back down too! thank you team
The view, location, and hotel were top notch, but the service and advice provided by the family that owned it made our entire visit to Pamukkale worth the trip. They recommended walking the travertines around sunset for optimal photos and wow were they right! They also recommended an amazing spa in the nearby town of Karahayit that we spent the entire day relaxing at. Hotel Sahin doesn't just have a great a location, but it has truly helpful staff who will go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay.
AMAZING Location 10-15 mins walk from the hot springs and museums with cafes and restaurants nearby (shop right outside hotel aswell). Very friendly staff greeted us and helped out in the morning when we were trying to get to denizli. There's a minibus (dolmush) literally right outside coming every 30 mins for 20 TL. Breakfast is 100TL if you wanted it at the hotel. Pool looked great but as it was winter too cold to swim!! Great place and highly recommend. Nice warm room when cold though!!
I stayed at a hotel in Pamukkale the year before and there was very little in town other than restaurants geared towards tourists. Mucize Termal was 5 minutes from a pedestrian shopping/food street. Great food at a reasonable price was easy to find. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly and easy to work with. I also appreciated the pool for swimming and the thermal pool to soak in. I'll definitely be staying there again next year!
The hottest shower in all of Turkey. The owner is great, and this is family run. Extremely friendly, and helpful. Great prices on a hot air balloon! We had free parking at the location, and they recommended we park at the top of pamukkale to avoid the walk up bare foot. Life savers.
The beds were clean, and so was the room. The included breakfast was mediocre.
For the price, I would say this location nailed it. I would gladly stay here again.
This hotel is very nice. I highly recommend it. The staff was very welcoming. The room was cosy and clean. I also would like to mention very comfortable bed, nice linen and towels. Turkish breakfast that is served in this facility was beyond my expectations. It's just awesome! The best breakfast I have ever tried in Turkey. The hotel is 10 minutes walk to travertines. All the best to the owner and the staff!
The best hotel we stayed in so far in Turkey. Friendly and helpful staff. The desk manager suggested a family room and swapped our two double rooms with no effort. Much appreciated. We had dinner at hotel and the food and service was good as well as reasonable prices. Exceptional breakfast, wide variety. Wifi is good and we parked in front of hotel. We can really recommend this hotel.
The room is clean, quite and large and the breakfast is very healthy and variety. If you need lunch and dinner, the hotel’s restaurant is very nice and extremely value for money. The service cannot be better - there is a free shuttle to Pamukkale South Gate and hotel can also help book for spa, massage and paragliding etc.. I will recommend Venus Hotel to every my friend.
Very nice hotel to spend your holiday in Pamukkale. Very well located, clean rooms, huge comfortable bed. The receptionist that welcomed us was very friendly and gave us great tips about the thermal springs in Karahayit. The breakfast people were also very helpful by accommodating us when we request a slightly earlier breakfast.
If you want to visit Pamukkale, this hotel is situated pretty close to it, about 4-5 km and is a good option for one night. Seemed like they had many tourists who came for thermal pools and treatments.
The room is spacious. It is a big hotel and it has many pools (also a thermal one) and a lot of outdoor space. Free parking.
Very nice place to stay in Pamukkale. The family owning the hotel is super nice, they helped us with everything we needed. Breakfast was super good. The common area where we can rest is super cozy with the fireplace and tea that we can get 24/7. Would definitely recommend staying there 🤩
The breakfast spread was amazing and huge compared to the other hotels I stayed at in Turkey. It was easy to communicate with the staff and they understood English well. From all the hotels I stayed at even the ones in Istanbul the staff at this property are the most fluent in English.
The room is huge. It's the hotel with the biggest room in Turkey I believe. What's more owner gave us free room upgrade
The hotel is also in a very convenient location, 200m to the cotton castle entrance.
Love the hotel very much and highly recommended !
The best Breakfast we good in our Turkey trip, the hotel was providing us with a different turkish dishes everyday in addition to the basic breakfast dishes, location is onfornt of the microbus station and near the main attraction entrance
2 min from Pamukkale Thermal bath. restaurant near by the hotel. Host were very friendly and helpful. The place and the room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. this is most if you come to Pamukkale. from Canada Lyne.
this is the best hotel I have stayed in Turkey. Incredibly clean room and super welcoming host, thank you very much! If I am in pamukale, then stop only here. I can safely put 100 points out of 10 !!!!!!
Hotel ‘s near Pamukkale , we can walk to Pamukkale in the morning . Hotel manager ‘s kind , he suggest beautiful place to visit on the way to Antalya (Kaklık Mağarası & Salda lake) .
