Location was good, as it was on the outskirts of Konya. Well within walking distance of the main sights. The Mevlana complex is across the road, and other museums around Alaadin Hill about 25 minutes walk. Lovely coffee shops and restaurants nearby, too, plus bazaars with lots of different shops.
The staff are great, really friendly and helpful. Thank you to Ahmed for driving us around for the day to Çatalhöyük, Killistra and Sille. It was a long day driving, but he was a cheerful companion throughout.
The breakfast is varied, with hot and cold dishes and lots of choice. Very pleased we chose the Rumi Hotel.

The old parts of Konya are beautiful. The new parts are interesting. This city feels very traditional and profoundly Turkish. Very little globalisation and not much English spoken here. It is very different from Istanbul or Ankara - it is slower and less frantic than its urban counterparts. Religion obviously plays a big part in this culture, but stick to the rules, show respect, and you are welcome everywhere. The mosques and the monuments are beautuful, but so too are the markets and bazaars. Prices are very reasonable, so good food and bargains are not hard to find.

Konya is a huge city, depending of what you are looking for, you have to chose you area wisely. There is plenty of country side and beautiful scenery, but a long drive from where we were if you are planning to find nightlife or entertainment it might be difficult. The area we were in, we visited some restaurants, food is good, but most of them you cannot consume alcohol. so if you plan to go out after a days work and have a drink you can forget it.

I went to Konya to attend Mevlana's death anniversary and enjoyed it a lot. Significant experience with the food, people, architecture, everything. It was a spiritual trip, so I greatly enjoyed the city.
It's easy to get around, and the bus/tram connection is excellent. You can buy a city card, top it up, and move around.
It had terrific world-best falafel and hummus opposite Shah Shames Tabreez's tomb—a must-visit place.
Great and affordable grill and other food options near Azizyea 🕌 mosque inside old streets of Konya.
I visited Sille, a beautiful historic village only 30 minutes by bus from Konya city center.

Konya gives you a high sense of spiritually most likely because of its connection with Mevlana Rumi and Shams Tabriz. It is not as crowded as Istanbul so it's more enjoyable. The mosque ans the tomb of the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykabut, located on a strategic hillock, has a beautiful garden and a very good to relax. Out of all the goid restaurants, Sufi Restaurant offers the best cuisine. We enjoyed Konya''s signature dish, the Firin Kebap and the dessert Hosmerism. They are a must to eat.

I had never been to Konya, so we hired a guide for a 7-hour walking tour. Konya is an ancient city (Roman name was Iconium) as well as a pilgrimage site for many sufis, since both Rumi and his mentor Shems-i Tabrizi have tombs in the city. The Mevlevi dervish sema at the Mevlana Cultural Center is a big draw for people from all over the world. Even though the ceremony is choreographed, in a large arena more suitable for a basketball game, the performance was genuinely felt, and emotionally moving.
The hotel ,as we were expecting from the photographs, was trying to combine the traditional with the modern with a very successful way. Our room was really clean and cozy. The location of the hotel was just great. Even though was not a buffet, the breakfast was exceptional, probably because the quality was really good in everything. Last but not least, the staff was the best thing in the hotel, everyone were friendly and eager to help. Also the suggestions of the owner really helped us to organise a perfect day in Konya.
The homely feel, home away from home. Every member of the family is so welcoming; mommy is amazing and always smiling. True Turkish hospitality and culture. Hotel is walking distance from Rumis mausoleum and 10 minutes walk to Aladdin Camii. Close to hamam and local restaurants (on the way to Safi Sultan Hamam). The gentleman helped me book my bus ticket as my VISA wouldn't work online. Overall, they're amazing and if life brings me to Konya again, I'll stay with them.
Really warm and friendly welcome from the owners. The house is simple but clean and the room was super comfortable. The hotel is within easy walking distance of all the main sites and the owner takes the time to direct you and share recommendations. As we were travelling on to Sagalassos from Konya, the owner also took the time to share other places we could stop at on the way. Breakfast was vast and the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious!
Obviously, the design of this hotel is outstanding. It was such a pleasure to sit in the garden and drink tea. The place so very photogenic. The staff, especially, the workers (couldn’t get their names, unfortunately): two young guys, an old gentleman and a lady were so polite and always there to help. Would 10/10 come to this hotel again, not for Konya, but solely for the hotel!
Lovely hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff! We felt like family staying there. Breakfast served daily was made fresh, and brought to our table with a pot of tea. Location was super convenient to all the sites, and most importantly to Mevlana. The hotel feel so warm and charming with unique decor. We really loved our stay and would come back again!
It's a nice hotel with caring staff. As a pleasant surprise after my check in and being in my room for a few minutes 'a welcome fruit platter' was delivered to me which I found as a nice gesture from the hotel to their guests. The room was clean, free parking available either right in front of their hotel or at their designated parking lot behind the hotel.
I arrived to konya, without any plans, all staff were friendly and very helpful with me, they helped me to choose my sightseeing , locations, and finally bus reservations for my next city in turkey. The hotel is very clean, neat and near to most attractions in konya.
The room is too big and has all facilities you need
Amaaazing hotel, the best hotel I stayed-in in Turkey. The staff were amazing especially Hafiza and Bakir who received and welcomed us very well and upgraded our room to a suite. I will definitely return to it and tell my friends about it.
The location was withing walking distance of Rumi's tomb. This was the reason for our visit to Konya which made this part so exceptionally easy. The hotel stay was awesome too. Will definitely recommend this hotel to travelers.
During my recent travel in 4 cities of Turkey, I found this an excellent place to stay. The variety of food items in the breakfast really made me happy. The location of this hotel is great.
Ali and Osman were very helpful, room was perfect, heating, cleanliness od the room, design and bed, everything excellent! Definitely would come again to Hotel Ney if I’m back to Konya!
