Everything about our stay was great. We stayed 4 nights, the owners and staff were lovely and friendly. Our bungalow and the hotel had places to laze and hang outside. Breakfast hit the spot. The beach was quiet and water great and the restaurants and bars along the beach were great as well. Just a great place to be based out of on the island and to go slow. Would come back!

We stayed here for a 4 night getaway. This is one of the best places we have stayed in Thailand. The room and bathroom were very clean. Nice deck to lounge on. Coffee and refrigerator in the room and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a lot of selection with the thai item’s changing everyday. We ate dinner in the restaurant every night and the food was the best we have eaten in Thailand. Most of all the staff were amazing. We had a slight mishap on a motorbike and sustained a few cuts. When we returned to the resort the staff cleaned our wounds and bandaged us up. They were always sooooo helpful and wonderful. Definitely our stay there was a great experience and we will return.

no one was there at our arrival. we had to wait, someone came up and wasnt aware about our reservation. the hostel hasnt been cleaned in ages, its very dirty and theres sand everywhere.
the owners are too worried building a new hostel right next to it and they just ignore this one.
we had to do our own check out because no one was there. the rooms are big but the windows cant be closed properly and there were many mosquitos.
the only good thing was the price and the distance from the pear (literally 1 minute walking)

Room was okay. Very simple but nice bedding and AC. Thought the units were on the beach but actually up a path away from the beach.

What a beautiful, mostly unspoilt island, lovely beaches, jungle and no cars! Laid back atmosphere. The food was amazing, much, much better than in Koh Tao where we are now. Lovely local people. A real gem - let’s hope it doesn’t go the way of Koh Samui and Koh Tao.

The Island is incredible - beautiful, lush and lovely to explore by scootie, cycle or walking. Our fav restaurant was The Kitchen Table run by Chioko. Best brusketta and place to hang with sweet kitties and dogs. Also Flower Power has excellent Italian food. We loved our stay in Bamboo Bungalos. Can’t wait to go back! Pure heaven.

Phayam is a paradise of older Thailand. (No MacDonalds!!!!)
Phayam is a paradise of older Thailand. (No MacDonalds!!!!) The Thai and Burmese that live and work on the island are always friendly, helpful and HONEST. Getting around the island is easy and cheap, whether by foot, motorbike, bicycle or motorbike taxi. The food is delicious, with a variety of cuisines for those who want a change from Thai or Burmese food, many of the foodstuffs are sourced locally, including seafood caught from the sea surrounding Phayam, food and accomodation are very affordable, I have been coming to Phayam for ~ 8 years now and won’t stop.
We booked for 3, then extended for another 4. Rabbit Bungalows is a perfect match for Ko Phayam. The bungalow is simple. 24 hour electricity, very comfortable bed, and ….. a cold shower. however we warmed water in bottles for warm hair washing. A 200 meter walk to a beautiful beach.
The restaurant , by the Lilly pond, was very good, we had a handful of breakfasts and a few dinners - nice to interact with community.
Best, was the quiet at night- no sound from neighbors, distant backpacker venues, traffic, …. only quiet.
Couldnt ask for more from Ailay. The hosts were genuinely friendly and caring, rooms got cleaned everyday, food could be delivered to the room, on a beautiful clean quite beach with coral reefs close by (they have snorkeling gear, boogie boards, kayaks and more that are free for guests to use). I have a gluten allergy and the hosts were very helpful and accommodating, never had a reaction. Hosts helped us book all our transport to our next hotel. Wonderful experience overall that made for a very relaxing getaway.
This is one of an amazing place to stay…the bungalows renovated with such a thoughtful and loving style and hand..we loved everything…gorgeous beach, amazing food….people you need to eat there…you don’t know what you are missing out!!!!!
And then the owner Toi, the loving and ever smiling Liam and all the other staff…..( we missed meeting Sam the other owner) the most humble loving grateful honest caring people you will meet♥️♥️ we will return for sure…the best start in our vacation time ever🫶🏽
The location is perfect. The beach and area around the hotel are keept clean. The rooms are very comfortable and I especially like the softer mattress compared to other hotels in thailand.
The staff is extremely nice and will help you get anything you need.
The pool is clean and nice view over the ocean.
Please remember - this is an upcoming tourist area, so not all staff speak English - but then again that's a good excuse to learn a bit of thai language.
The bungalows are nice. They have all you need. No hot water but thats quite normal in Koh Payam. Some encounters with bugs in the room but again, this is koh payam and its bursting with wild life.
The woman who runs the place is a very cute elderly thai woman. She doesn‘t speak much english but its still easy to comunicate with her. She also has a little restaurante in the entrance and cooks really good. Would recommend this place for sure.

Very nice and friendly staff. The owner even arranged our transfer and hotel for our next stop.
The Bungalows were the nicest we had in Thailand so far and the breakfast was very delicious and changed every day (not the standard toast and marmalade). We really enjoyed our time at the island, especially because we felt very comfortable in our Bungalow
Our bungalow was right near the water so we fell asleep every night listening to the waves! So very relaxing.
The beaches on the other side of the island are better, but PP Land Eco Resort is conveniently located close to the main pier and the many restaurants close by.
I liked the huts that were located directly on the beach. They looked kind of cute, minimalistic but had everything we needed. Beach is amazing. Coffee in the morning at the hotel’s restaurant was amazing. I didn’t try the breakfast but it looked really good too.
Bungalows were nice, clean and full of feeling. Location is good, easy to ride bike to every compass point. Staff were very familiar and kind. They made good food and Thailands best coffee and green tea. Easily our favorite place to stay on Koh Phayam!
Lovely bungalows in the jungle, you can hear all the jungle sounds at night which felt pretty magical. Super clean and cosy.
Paul (owner) is an absolute gem, very kind and helpful. Made my stay even better!
Definitely would return and recommend :-)
The island was stunning. It truly was paradise. The accommodation was nice and simple. The staff looking after us were very friendly and attentive with their job. We felt very welcomed and belonged.
Everything was fine but unfortunately the bungalows were sold out and I had to sleep in a tent which I did not like. But I cannot complain, it was an offer, and I accepted it.
