The staff were exceptional. They made our stay very convenient. They were very friendly & very helpful. They made sure we miss nothing we needed, in this remote small town in the off season.
We are very thankful to the staff-team at The View !

A good base for trekking and exploring, but there's not much here. The camping site has a restaurant and bar, and there's a cafe/gift shop in the village but be aware that doesn't sell alcohol if that's your thought. There's a breakwater you can walk along that offers good views out to sea.

We liked walking to Kirkeporten - the walk was easy and rather short, but the landscape is very beautiful. And we watched the reindeer everywhere in Skarsvag. We went to the small harbour and to the Christmas and winter house. You can buy nice things there and drink coffee or tea.
In the evening we went to the North Cape. We watched a film there and looked at the exhibition. We wrote some postcards, as there is a post office there that sells special stamps. We didn't see the midnight sun, but the weather was dry.
The next day we visited some other places near Skarsvag, first an interesting gallery in Kamoyvaer, where the artist told us about living here in the north of Norway, with the weather and nature changing around the seasons. We liked her pictures very much and we bought some prints. The other place we visited was Gjesvaer and we would have joined a bird-watching tour, but the weather was too bad - foggy and cold. In the afternoon we took some really nice fotos of the landscape and the reindeer next to the road. We enjoyed our stay in Skarsvag very much.
Location is excellent 3min away from Skarsvag village by car or 15min from Nordkapp. We got a room with view to the Nordkapp. Picturesque cabin, sometimes you can even see reindeers grazing outside the window. Aurora Borealis if present is visible from outside the cabin or if other cabins have the outside light on, 4 min away by foot. The cabin was in very good order, cozy and clean.

Perfect location for tourists going to Nordkapp. The campsite is located next to the village of Skarsvåg by the lake. 20 minutes from the campsite there is a beautiful view of the Kirkeporten rock gates.
Per is a very nice owner
Perfectly located for visiting Nordkapp (only 13km away), the cabin was large, with a clean bathroom, two beds, and living area with a table, a coffee table and a couch. Close to the restaurants in Skarsvåg.
The location: 3km from Skarsvåg and 15min drive from North Cape, which allows to quickly drive anytime to North Cape. This distance makes it very handy to go to see the sunset/midnight sun at North Cape.
The location is great - just a couple of minutes walk in to Skarsvåg, and a ten minute drive to Nordkapp.
Free parking right next to our cabin was handy.
The toilets and showers were reasonably clean.
Very good location, clean facilities and a really nice camping. Comfortable beds and quiet place. Close to Skarsvag, 10 minutes walking and you can see some reindeer on the walk. 😃
