The location of the property is perfect in La Gaulette. We were a 5-minute walk from a grocery store, excellent restaurant, small cafe, and ATM. The studio apartment had everything you need in the kitchen and made it really easy for us to cook most of our meals (pots, pans, bowls, plates, cutlery, kettle, coffee machine, bread board, cups, mugs, wine glasses, etc). The studio is extremely spacious and the AC was glorious! The bed is huge with bedside plugs. The bathroom is large. We were very impressed with our stay and were able to have questions answered by our host very easily. We rented a car and were also able to park it on the property inside the gate which was comforting. 10/10 LOVE this place!

At the Veranda Tamarin hotel - the only real turn-off was that only one tv channel was in English - BBC World. All others in French / Creole. No mainstream music channels. Tamarin is a small village, full of friendly people. The atmosphere is open and you get the sense of tranquility and safety. The brand new SUPER U, is fantastic.
The brand new SUPER U, is fantastic. You can get anything there, even gifts. The Coffee shop at the Super U was two times cheaper than the other Coffee Shops. It is not very expensive at the Super U. We ate at the Happy Rajah and the Casa Pizza. The food was fantastic.

The hotel has a nice spa, the activities were nice including Credits depending on the length of your stay. The staff is very nice and mostly helpful. However, the shower was broken and the shower door was leaking water so that every time we took a shower half the bathroom was under water. The baths and toilet were not properly cleaned and the sun lounger at the pool were dirty.

Tamarin is a coastal village without the big hotels but lovely beach areas, nice restaurants and handy shopping facilities near a lot of the tourist sites on the west coast. It is a good located city.
It is a good located city. If you wish to explore this area of island, its a good place from where to start. You will find at least two bigger shop, where you can buy food and other supplies. The Tamarin beach is also very nice (the smaller one was better for us).BarboraCzech Republic

We really loved everything (the animals, the garden, the guest house, the delicious food) and will definitely come again. We really liked the area around Tamarin. With a rental car you can reach many beautiful places quickly and easily. You quickly get used to the left-hand traffic. Thank you for the great tips and the recommendation to surf. It offers both a large terrace with jacuzzi where it invites you to have breakfast or dinner, overlooking the sunrise/sunset. There is a well-stocked large supermarket nearby, and the beach is within walking distance. Tamarin is a town strategically located for trips to the whole island. The swimming pool and the garden are amazing and relaxing. The view (especially early morning) is magnificent and you have a great access to small beaches. The appartment is the perfect set up for 8 people with a bathroom in each room, and you can park your car inside. Staff is very nice and smilling but you need to speak french or creole if you want to understand most of their saying.

Fabrice and Pascal are such a welcoming and kind people. And also what you can excpect as a bonus are two german shepards with puppies ❤️. I would definitely stay again. Beautiful location, basically on the beach. We had so much fun with the bodyboards and kayaks that was available for use. Apartment was spacious and modern with a nice large patio looking out over the beach. Beds were very comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and assisted us where needed.
