The location was superb. Facilities were nice. Unfortunately, with many Korean tourists checked-in during my stay, the facilities were overused and not particularly clean for those days with many tourists.

Fukuoka is a pleasant surprise, with lots of attractions and great dining within the city.A balanced mix of cultural and modern destinations . The city had a number of temples , museums, beautiful parks while boasting of modern attractions like the canal city fountain show , the E-Zo team lab, the Fukuoka tower viewing deck and seasonal display on its building facade, and the largest moving Gundam in Lalaport. Many shopping places too. Food choices are plentiful, from hakata ramen and traditional Japanese cuisine to international options like Italian, Mexican , American . Lastly, the many varieties of cherry blossoms and tulips in Ohori and maizuru parks made our visit even more memorable.

Nice city.
Nice city. I'm a bit surprise that it's not overcrowded like another big cities in Japan that I've been to. Might not be the best place for shopping but it's about right to me. It's more local Japan to me. I see very few English signs. There are some nice attractions but I wouldn't plan a week long trip with just Fukuoka. There are other cities and attractions in Kyushu that should also be in the plan. You don't really need a car in Fukuoka. It's well covered by public transport but for Kyushu in general it'll help considerably if you like to drive though.
If I'd plan again, I wouldn't drive the whole trip outside Fukuoka. I rather drive in some areas and travel between big cities with train. It make more sense and can cover more areas and attractions.

Loved Fukuoka, it's an underrated city. As long as you're not looking for a city like Kyoto with lots of traditional Japan, you'll find it to be a lively city with lots to do! The yatai's are a great way to experience food in Fukuoka!

It's not as busy as Tokyo or Osaka but is not lacking in places of interest and dining options. It's very easy to get around just as in other cities in Japan. The underground stations in Gion and Tenjin were a sight in itself. The interiors are not like typical train stations. There were intricately designed iron grills in the ceiling and there were lots of merchandise and food to check out.
It was fun dining at a yatai stall. The owners were very friendly and one of them patiently explained to us the menu that did not have any English translation. The food was fresh and really tasty.
One diner at the yatai stall who is a local suggested a good ramen place. It's Ganso Akanoren Setchan Ramen in Tenjin. She said Ichiran is expensive and "locals do not go there". There was a short queue when we got there around 11:30am the next day. We just waited for about 10 minutes to get a table. We were not disappointed with the food at all; taste and price wise. When we left at 12:30pm, there were about 20 people in line.
It was unfortunate that the Fukuoka Castle Ruins was closed for some work to prepare the place for the Sakura Festival later this month so we did not see it. We visited the Kusida Shrine, Team Lab Forest, Sanrio Characters Dreaming attraction, Ohori Park, Canal City. We went on a day trip to Hiroshima to learn more about history and we came out more educated.
Great location (flat 10min walk from Hakata Station). Location is also close to Canal City, stores and restaurants. There are many people who stay in this hotel so it can feel quite busy but also lively.
My room was a bit small but very modern, comfortable beds with intuitively placed charging ports and lights. Bathroom is clean and modern. There is also a small public bath in the hotel to relax in after a long day, and free icy poles for a treat after.
Overall, one of my favourite stays in Japan so far.
Located across Hakata Train station and Bus Terminal, the hotel offers excellent access to explore the city and other key attractions in Kyushu. Level B1 is connected to Chikushi Exit 7 (East) of Hakata station offering sheltered pathway to Airport Line. Breakfast is served between a choice of Japanese or Western cuisines and delicious. Room is spacious and interior is new and clean.
Overall, Hotel Miyako Fukuoka offers a five-star stay with top-notch service, comfort, and amenities. Highly recommended!
Location and the convenience. Very cheap as well. The room seam a bit bigger than in other TI hotels I stayed long time a go so that's a bonus too. It's perfect place for quick transitioning between cities and when you are on a busy schedule. Also always free breakfast
I didn't use it as I had to go very early but it's really good.
Lastly they are better prepared for modern world than 5 star hotels! I love that they installed USB and Ctype chargers!!! Big bonus for overseas travellers like myself
Great value for money hotel opposite from the Canel City Hakata shopping mall which is massive. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean and comfortable and definitely exceeded expectations. Very centrally located in the Gionmachi area and about a short 7min walk from the main JR Hakata Station or Gion local train station if coming via Fukuoka airport.
The rooms were relatively spacious and very clean. Equipped with fridge and mini bar
Staff were all extremely nice as well. Would recommend
Amazingly close to the Fukuoka Hakata JR station. Extremely clean rooms. Very generous sizing by Japanese standards. Huge bathroom! Amazing shower with multiple jets - very relaxing. Staff were lovely. Check out was a breeze - only took about 20 seconds. Lots of amenities on offer - soaps, razors, hairbrush etc. Like with all Tokyu hotels they have the charity donation if you don’t use the amenities which I love.
Great location, easy walking to shopping and food options. Parking was available on the property. The bathroom was larger than in most Japanese hotels. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and even spoke English. I was asked if I had my COVID vaccine card, which I did, and for showing it, I received 3000 yen in vouchers to be used at various locations in Fukuoka.
The location is really fantastic! Around 5-10 minutes walk from Hakata station depending on your speed. Best if you choose Fukuoka as the main hub then traveling the nearby areas by JR Kansai part. The room is typically a Japanese business hotel. Satisfied as it should be. They provide free snacks from afternoon till evening. I have tried the donut and it's really great!
We reached the hotel on foot from Hakata Station (a reasonably fair walking distance away). It is located in a rather retro area conveniently close to central Tenjin. The location of the property has a very youthful, vibrant vibe and also is nearby to Ohori/Maizuru Park encompassing, old Castle and Korokan ruins complex, Fukuoka Art Museum and also Japanese gardens.
I love everything about this hotel.
It is a timeless classic luxury that I would love to come back to when in Fukuoka.
Hotspring is natural which is a plus.
Dinner at the Japanese restaurant was over the top.
I was very much impress.
Staff were also very accommodating.
P.S.
I love their pajamas too and would love to get one when I’m back again.
The location is perfect. Close to Hakata station, which is one of the main hubs in the city. And it location is easy to find, by Google map.
Check-in was very smooth and fast, and the night employee went through all the necessary information for checking in.
The hotel provides all one needed from amenities til pajamas.
Japanese style breakfast.
For some reasons, this hotel has rather lower reviews, perhaps it was something to do with the Japanese reviewing traditions, this hotel was actually quite good, at the time, the cheapest place i could find in Fukuoka and I had a good experience, so I recommend you don't always bypass a place because of the reviews in Japan. (I think~)
Location is at Chikushi exit which is behind JR hakata city. This hotel is the cheapest in Hakata station area. Its about 7min walk to the hotel. Though staff speak little English, no issue when using google translation to communicate with them. Toiletaries including face wash. location and coffee are provided FOC at the lobby area
The hotel is near Hakata station, making it easy for Shinkansen day trips. Capsule room was quiet and comfortable. You can get to a balcony from the lounge room, from which you can observe the city. Loungewear is provided every day so there is no need to bring pajamas.
The hotel is located near down town Fukuoka and next to the river. The city is clean and beautiful flowers were planted everywhere. The weather was cold and the most of the cherry trees were not ready to bloom.
The hotel locates at a prime position as it is close to airport and railway station (Hakata Ekimae). We can go the shopping centres and temples nearby on foot.
The room and bathroom is up to standard.
The hotel is very accessible from Hakata Station. The rooms are clean and spacious. Really enjoyed our stay here and will be booking this same hotel once I go back to Fukuoka.
Near hakata station. Easy to look for taxi. Near the airport, taxi fare is around 1,200 to 1700 yen only going to airport. Friendly staff. Breakfast is good
