We had a lovely but short stay in Villa Salvatore. Antonio welcomed us, provided safe parking, and made restaurant reservations for us. The apartment had all we could want, with its own terrace. Accommodation is in a quiet area. Sorry I didn't have time to swim in the beautiful pool. Breakfast was cooked for us which we enjoyed, including the homemade marmalade.

A beautifully furnished room, with gorgeous tiled floor, fresco furniture and the a warm, helpful welcome from the owner, Lando - who even helped me park my car after a long day's drive.

Don't go in early August as it is too crowded.
Don't go in early August as it is too crowded. I've been to Italy many times, but the quality of the food was disappointing in this part of Sicily. Surprisingly, as I have always found Italians to be lovely and polite people, this is the first time we found consistently rude and impatient people. I have always heard great things about Sicily, but probably won't return because of this experience.

Not really much to do in San Leone, typical beach/shore town where the people from the nearby main town (Agrigent) go. It's right next to the Valley of the Temples, and if you are in the area it is much nicer to stay here than in Agrigent since you are on the shore. The town was clean (which is saying something) and safe.

In the city itself there is not much to see. But if you want a cheeper stay than in Agrigento, I really recommend San Leone. You reach easy all the sight like the Valley of Temples or the Stairs of the Turks. Also you can find nice beaches if you look for it.

We came to see the temples and took a private guide (a little on the expensive side at euro100, but this was partially set off because we didn’t have to pay entrance fees because we visited on the first Sunday of the month when it”s free!)
Staff were wonderful & accommodating. Quick, easy check in. Parking in a secure carpark across the street from the hotel. Basic, but very clean rooms. Wonderful to have a little fridge and super to find water & a bottle of Prosecco in there too! Great bathrooms, power shower with toasty hot water. Breakfast across the courtyard. Good coffee and buffet offerings. On checkout we said in passing them we didn't drink the prosecco in the room they gave us a bottle of wine to take with us! Lovely touch! many thanks!
We spent 7 days in Sicily, going from one city to another, and this was our favourite stay.
The garden is beautiful, our hosts were excellent, the apartment was very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was basic but good and the overall experience was fantastic! We needed a good night sleep after such a tiring journey and the bed was great and comfortable and everything smelled fresh and clean.
The photos do not do it any justice at all, which was a very welcome surprise!
The staff was kind and we loved that this hotel had a private, secured parking lot. While the room was very spacious and we have a lovely private balcony, the bathrooms are tiny and the beds were not super comfortable. That being said, the staff gave us a bottle of Sicilian wine as a gift upon checkout and that was very kind of them. This hotel is ~10 min walk from the beach / downtown area and only a 5 minute drive to Valley of the Temples (which is a MUST SEE!).
It was very close to the beach, it was private with safe parking, the house had great charisma and wonderful pool area. The host Fausto is an amazing and humble man, always helpful and smiling. Thare are two cute dogs at the property. It’s a 10min drive to Agrigento and 2min to the beach. Recomend bar called Oceano Mare. Wonderful staff and food.
Comfortable apartment with big terrace near the beach and only a few kms from the Greek ruins at Agrigento; super quiet; the owners live on site; serviceable kitchen; comfortable beds; mosquito net on the window of the smaller bedroom; lovely garden setting; lots of advice from the owners about where to go; private parking in the garden
Very nice property, a lot of space, the garden very nice with palm three, limon tree etc. beatfiul view to the see and the sunset. The owner very nice and helpful with flexible approach. no problem with changing times of arrival. good contact with owner via whatsup and the owner speaks English what in Sicily is not so common.
The house is simply great - it's quite large with private parking and lot of place around the house. The view from the living room window is stunning - oriented to the sea and sunset. Several balconies and garden with trees. I rarely write reviews but this accommodation was above our expectation and so far best in Sicily.
Beautifully appointed hotel, very comfortable and with a fabulous pool. Rooms were spacious and the whole place was nicely decorated and looking very smart. Well worth staying here (taxi trip (12E) out of Agrigento if you want a pool …. And believe me you do !!
Lots of very nice restaurants a short walk away.
Nice place, 5 min walking distance from the beach, 15 min walking distance from excellent cozy fish restaurant. Absolutely loved the desogn of the room, the balcony with sea view. 100% a gem, will certanly recommend to friends travelling to Sicily.
The location to Agrigento and the valley of the temples was excellent. San Leone also had some good restaurants although it was early in the season. The outside space was beautiful and we enjoyed it even in the rain.
It’s clean, it has a wonderful roof top terrace with sun all day. It’s close to Agrigento to visit the Valle dei Templi and the town itself.
The sea is nearby.
Antonio is a great host. He is always close at hand.
The hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was lovely, the rooms were tasteful and comfortable, and the location/garden are unmatched. It was excellent value and an extremely charming stay.
Amazing clean hotel with private beach access. Very tasty breakfasts. Clean room with a view of the sea. A'la carte restaurant with delicious dishes. Perfect stay and relaxation.
Extrimly nice and friendly the hotel owner. The room and area nearby are cozy and atmospheric. The breakfast is very good and filling, the hotel owner makes the coffee himself
Adriana was very friendly and gave us many information about sicily and their culture. The beach was very close and one of the best we visited during our stay in sicily.
Perfect location and the staff is the cherry on the cake. What a team and they are the driving soul of this hotel. Perfect view on the historic sights. Loved it
