The location is perfect. It's on the best street in Genoa. It's close to everything, easy to walk to most places, and there is a bus stop 2 minutes away with a great bus service, and a train station close by too which makes day trips out of the city very easy to do. The room we had was great in size and really relaxing. The room is modern and the beds are very comfortable and the room is very clean and fresh. The ceilings are really high too so feels very airy. We had a lovely balcony which faced the main street, with stunning architectural columns and a great view of the whole street.
At night you don't hear any noise from the street as the double glazing blocks it out completely. The main road isnt too busy at night anyway ( it is busy during the day). The staff are really nice, friendly and helpful too. The breakfast is great. There is a wide selection of food to choose from, and great coffee. There is an elevator too so easy to get there with luggage.

Hugging the Ligurian coastline, Genoa boasts Europe’s largest old town and Italy’s largest seaport. As birthplace of Christopher Columbus, its heart and soul is the port, site of the Naval Museum and the ship-shaped Aquarium.
By the old port (Porto Antico) are several bars and restaurants serving the local speciality – pesto. Other Genoese favourites are focaccia and fresh fish from its Mediterranean shores. Don’t miss the homemade gelato ice cream along the seafront promenade – Corso Italia. East of here is the tranquil Boccadasse neighbourhood, where colourful boats bob up and down.
The best city views are from Villetta di Negro, a raised, shady park with a waterfall. Below is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Via Garibaldi, home to the ornately decorated Palazzo dei Rolli.
South is the old town with its black-and-white cathedral and Piazza de Ferrari, featuring a large fountain and historic buildings including the Doge’s Palace. The surrounding area is a maze of narrow, cobbled streets flying the Genoa flag, supposedly where the English took theirs from. Each features bars, restaurants and unique shops, while fancy boutiques are on Via XX Settembre.
As you approach Genova Airport look out for the fortresses on the lush hills forming the backbone of the ‘Superb City’. Booking.com has a range of Genoa accommodation, from hotels to apartments and B&Bs.

Genova is a beautiful old city with many gorgeous palazzos, churches and interesting streets. The harbour has many ships, historical landmarks and an aquarium. There are restaurants to suit every diner and pocket, from endless street cafes selling pizza and pastries to superb fine dining restaurants offering wonderful seasonal specialties. Great shopping too.

A beautiful ancient city.
A beautiful ancient city.
We visit the Aquarium and the lighthouse and walked in the city.
The architecture is interesting and nice building and decorations could be find at any corner.
It is a very good place to stop for a day or two while traveling in north Italy.
Better to arrive when the weather is good and the view is clear.

Beautiful city.
Beautiful city. So many twists and turns through small alleyways. Felt magical. Great food scene. Felt like a local. Great small city vibe.
Il genovese was our best dinner— very reasonable for a nice dinner. T/terra was a great cheap dinner find! Enjoyably food and 7 dollar pastas!
We took a day trip to cinque Terre which was very easy by train. Unfortunately the hiking paths were closed for actual race.
In town, we enjoyed the old city sites and the aquarium.
Getting around was easy— download the transportation app and you can buy tickets on your phone! Machine tickets were often broken.

Parking was a bit challenging but the town is very large but beautiful. There was a good presence of police officers which was wonderful. They all seemed professional. The lunar park was was enjoyed by the children. The staff there where friendly and the rides seemed well maintained. The staff at the aquarium took time to explain and answer any questions. The aquarium was clean and the exhibits where well placed and planned offering both English and Italian descriptions of animals and sea life. Greatly appreciated by the only limited Italian speaker. The food in the aquarium though understandable limited was above my expectations.
My stay at the Olympia was perfect for my visit to Genova. The friendly hosts, Agostino and Angelo were helpful and enthusiastic with suggestions and recommendations for dining and sights. The location is ideal for exploring the city (old and new areas easily accessible). My room, on the smaller side, fit my budget and had all the amenities needed. A great value for the area, and for Italy in general. I recommend Hotel Olympia - my home in Genova. 🇮🇹
The room I had was big and spacious, clean and it had everything needed. The staff is polite and helpful and the breakfast was decent, with more options than what you normally find in Italy for similar prices. The best advantage of this hotel is it's proximity to the railway station. It's also easy to get around the city and to the port on foot.
I loved that the hotel is on the beach, literally, there is about a 20m distance from the wall to the water, absolutely smashing, I snorkeled for hours, the rocks behind the hotel are full of fish and there are quite a few species.
I liked the feel of the hotel, it looks great inside, the staff were great and happy to help.
Thank you !
Great location, nice staff and affordable prices! the bed was SO comfortable! The building where the hotel is located was pretty cool too, with a majestic staircase and awesome architecture. Supermarket and restaurants nearby, as well as train and bus station. A great place for a nights rest before travelling elsewhere in Italy.
The apartment was very charming and in the best location to enjoy the Old World part of Genoa. Cristina was more than helpful. The apartment is located in one of the last piazzas owned by and individual family. Cristina with Wonderful Italy loves in the building, so checking in is very easy.
The hotel is very well located close to the city centre. Parking is well organized. Staff at the reception were nice and super helpful with tips regarding tourism in the city, beaches, shopping. Coffee at the buffet was amazing - really strong and aromatic! :)
The hotel was beautiful, clean and in a perfect location. We arrived way before check in time and our two rooms were ready. The bathrooms were good size, the rooms had plenty of space. The location was close to historic sites, shopping and bus stops.
Beautiful hotel in perfect location. Welcoming and friendly staff. Perfect, glamorous room. In fact everything was perfect and we hope to return.
We ate in the restaurant and my husband said it was one of the best meals he has ever had in Italy.
Location was very close to train station and flixbus station, so it was easy to carry my baggages until the hotel. Receptionist helped me a lot, to describe the city, and useful tricks like streets which I have to avoid at night.
Complimentary upgrade from the hotel next door. Perfect location right next to the train station and minutes from the airport. One of the oldest hotels in Italy but perfectly renovated. Total satisfaction.
Breakfast was generous, the hotel was incredibly close to the train station where we arrived from southern Italy. The rooms seemed to have been recently refurbished, and were more modern than I expected.
it was very clean and comfortable with an outdoor balcony looking over the marina. the shower was the biggest and nicest we had on our 10 day trip to Italy! lots of restaurants within walking distance.
Absolutely wonderful breakfast buffet - best one in the three weeks we spent in Italy. Older hotel, but very well kept. Great location for us, as opposite the real station. No complaints.
Hotel is located in a quiet location with parking on the street which is free from 8pm till 8am. Hotel manager is very kind and eager to help. Rooms were clean and cozy.
