Puri Sunny Guesthouse, hotel in Munduk

Located in Munduk, Bali’s naturally cooled area, Puri Sunny Guesthouse provides rooms that overlook the greenery. This property offers a restaurant, spa and free parking.

The room is very rustic and basic with a comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the jungle and the mountain with stunning views in the morning when the sky is clear. The bathroom is open towards the jungle. The pool and the garden are very nice with lots of lovely flowers. There is a note in the bathroom saying you should wait about 30 minutes after one person takes a shower for the water to heat up and we were a bit worried, but the shower worked well. We didn't have high expectations given the price, so we were happy with our choice.

The attention of the local hosts is amazing. I have been around the world and never in my life had seen such a great attention from the hotel workers. Thanks to all you I am rating this place as 10. The scenery up here was incredible. The view from the room, watching the clouds roll through the mountains from our balcony was truley breathtaking. The facilities, restuarant, bar, and the staff were also flawless. The staff were always willing to help and really went above and beyond for us. The included breakfast was probably the best "included breakfast" I've ever experienced. The food at the restuarant, and the cocktails were absolutely delicious. Really cannot find a flaw with this place.

This is a new Hotel, it has opened this year. It's a big room, comfortable bed, the view is very nice with your own cozy pool and a nice bathtub with a great view. The place is up the hill, nestled in nature. The breakfast is fresh and you can sit and enjoy the view. Thank you ver much for making a vegan breakfast. The whole place is tranquil and quite, totally hidden away in the middle of a plantation. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also a possibility to book a driver, Gede, he was very friendly and helpful. From here you can do all the trekkings, visit the water temple and the rice fields.Thank you very much for making our stay so comfortable.

Amazing views to mountains from basically any hotel or restaurant. Many hiking trails to waterfalls or little bit further by the lake. Beautiful nature and very friendly locals. Stayed at Adila Homestay - very nice place with restaurant and many services on site + waterfalls hiking track behind their house. Also visited restaurant Made Warung and warung Kadirasa - both family owned by locals, in Kadirasa I was albe to sing karaoke with the owner. Please go and support them in every way possible, its really hard to survive out here for them.

Went to see waterfalls - well worth the effort. Recommend some level of walking fitness before going - more than 1 500 uphill steps during the day resulted in delayed onset muscle soreness for a couple of days. Take a GoPro for the waterfalls. Water temple also worth visiting.

Excellent weather, albeit a bit chilly even in July. Greenery all around. Winding roads (not recommended to roam these roads by car if you get car sick easily). Plenty of waterfalls, though all of them require a bit of a trek. Very few tourists compared to southern part of the island.

For nature lovers that love to explore - tonnes of waterfalls in the area including the breathtaking Sekumpul Waterfall and the Lemukih Natural Water Slide were completely epic! The roads are decent to ride a scooter around and you get to see way more! On our next trip to Bali, we have already noted that Munduk is 1 of the places we would return to.

A wonderful place for nature lovers. A totally different side to bali, more authentic in a way. Waterfalls, lakes, mountains amd temples. A quaint little village. Absolutely worth seeing. Only issue is it's hard to get around, as you areore reliant on a local driver.

Amazing glamping facility with two very clean shared bathrooms and an excellent restaurant. The main area, composed in reception, kitchen and restaurant, is a beautiful open-air wooden structure where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner with an amazing view of the forest. The room is basically the tent on the platform with the forest view, the feeling is to be truly inside the nature. Walking down from the hotel you can reach the river with the yoga platform, then you can start the beautiful waterfall trekking.

The Munduk clove is situated in the mountains, the view is just wonderful from the room. It’s also well situated to do hiking around the waterfalls and the rice fields. Not too far from some warungs and eco café. The room is nice, big bed and a cute terrasse. It is cleaned everyday. Breakfast is good too. The staff is very nice and helpful, they will help you find your way in the village and book taxis.

This Hostel is cute and small amidst the Mountains and nature. All Munduk attractions are closer to this place to go from. The food at the cafe is amazing. The price that they are charging is more comparatively but the quantity that they give you is worth the price . Also, when I left the owner was very sweet and kind enough to give me home made banana chips, which I think is a very kind gesture 😀

The restaurant with the pool area is really like Heaven, I and my husband were amazed by the beautiful scenery. The tranquility and the fresh air there is what I enjoyed most. The staff no matter the manager or general staff, they were all very attentive to us. They can spot our needs before we raised our request. The food in the hotel restaurant was also great. We wish we could stay longer :)

Everything! The owners were so kind, helpful and sweet, really made our stay memorable. They offer free laundry and their food is good and a fair price! Spring rolls were amazing! The surroundings of the hotel are just beautiful! So close to the water falls and they give you a map. There isn’t much else in the area but we didn’t mind! Really relaxing after being in such busy areas.
