It is located in perfect spot for visiting all the tourist attractions of the area (Vai, Itanos, Siteia, Minoan palace of Zakros and beaches). A small lovely town on the easternmost tip of Crete. Touristy but not overcrowded. Lovely streets, family-owned cafes and restaurants, friendly people. A bit far from popular Elounda and Agios Nikolaos, thus less crowded and more tranquil. Famous Vai palm beach close by. Worth visiting and staying for several days if you want quiet vacations away from crowds.IIanRussia
