We had bungalow on second floor and it was good
9yr old son loved loved loved the kids area pool- excellent for kids and he also loved the mocktails and icecream
We couldnt enjoy the beach for swimming as it was always windy while we were there but we still stayed to watch the waves whilst having a drink or eating icecrean
Drink were usual all inclusive taste, take your own tea and coffee
Food is repetitive but ok

Absolutely in love with this location.
Its just a 6 minute walk to the sea, 5 minutes walk to a store thats open 7 days a week untill 23:30, nice familyrestaurant next to that (To Perasma). The bigger supermarket at 8 minutes walk (Synka) and with a car you can easily take several daytrips in the neighbourhood, like the WW2 tunnels, the Cave of Agia Sofia, Crete’s Botanical Park, Chania City.
The house is spacious and has everything you need, it may not all be the newest, but it works just fine.
It’s decorated with nice antiques and there’s a beautifully illustrated encyclopaedia from the 1930’s.
At the terrace near the front door you can see and hear the sea in the distance and on the other side is the kitchen with a very big window and view over the mountains.
Stefanos is a very attentive host and quick responder if you need help or have a question and speaks English pretty well, wich is also a plus.
This is the fifth time we went to Crete’s for holiday, and enjoyed this holiday most of all, partly because we had everything we needed within reach instead of having to drive everywhere.
Forgot to take pictures, only have one from during a storm.
A few good little restaurants by the beach. Maleme Taverna / beach bar has great food and the sun loungers are free if you eat there. Same with Mythos bar, also good food at the Wave. Friendly helpful staff in all restaurants. I would stay away from the bigger hotels for food if you want good local quality food.

Maleme is a lovely village on the coast.
Maleme is a lovely village on the coast. It has plenty of hotels, bars and restaurants. The food was excellent. It was just a bus ride to Chania, the nearest big place. It is easy to book visits to other places. It is not too commercialised.

Maleme is small town, but there is everything you might need. I cant rate night life because of small children, but for family vacation is great. In town are many restaurants, car rentals, pharmacy, medical center...You can make a lot of trips from there by car or bus or by little fun train. It is good point for trips to Chania, Botanical garden, Balos, Falasarna beach etc.

Restaurants on the beach are more expensive, on the main street is a Gyros Taverna, food is great, we ate there every 2nd day. Also on the main street you will find another great Taverna next to the Synka supermarket, along the road is the jewel of Malame, The Black Lantern Restaurant absolutely the best eatery in the area with a bar that would not be out of place in the UK. Run by a former Royal Navy Stoker who is a mine of information on the area.
Just want a coffee, look for the green sign, it's a locals place, overlooked by tourists, mores the pity, started evey day off there with 2 or 3 cappuccino,s.

Maleme is a quiet resort and is used more by adults than families. However, there is a large family resort hotel there too. There is not much in the way of night life (no clubs), Platanias, about 2 KM away has all the hustle and bustle and night life. Maleme is much more laid back, although it has plenty of bars and eating venues to choose from. Chania town is easily reached by bus. Ditto Kolimbari further along the coast. There is the little train service offering trips to various parts of Crete which are great fun to do.

Wonderful villas for our family of 16.
Wonderful villas for our family of 16. Space for all of us, pool was wonderful. BBQ and recreational facilities , table tennis and bikes.
Could not wish for better facilities for a family holiday all together but space for everyone.
Hosts were so helpful and friendly without being intrusive.
Restaurants and beach within walking distance and local bus to Chania was perfect.
We booked this facility; because one of us needed to work remotely and the other one could continue a vacation. Happily we also received an upgrade in our apartment; thanks again for that. The apartment was very clean; had everything what we needed and we had so much space. The aparts are very close to the Maleme beach; which was in the beginning of June not so crowded. Also some casual restaurants, a market etc were in walking distance. Approx 25 min drive from Chania city center, the location was great. All in all it was a very good stay.
The staff were just wonderful. Special thanks to Manolis The Barman who saved us from hunger :) and did all and more to cheer up my sad crying 6 year old during our goodbye to the hotel.
Everyone was kind, the place itself was v quiet, relaxing and the sound of the sea waves ....
Platanias just a few bus stops away (€1.60 adult fare) and buses run every 20 mins to Chania and the opposite way (towards Kolimbari). A small pool with a shallow kids space. Free coffee, tea and water and juice was great.
Everything. The spacious, clean, renovated and beautiful room!
The amazing service provided by Konstantina.
It all started from the booking. We got clear instructions and help for everything we needed.
We were able to do late check-in.
We got free room upgrade and really warm welcome from Konstantina.
The location is quite, 20 minutes from Old Town by car and also not far from other great beaches, and with great restaurant called “The Wave” nearby.
I highly recommend though to rent a car.
We stayed here with 2 kids. The pool is always clean and a good size. The apartment is spotless clean. The manager Sophia is very helpful and friendly. My daughter slipped and had a little cut. Sophia was ready to help and gave us band aids and checked on my daughter. She even recommended a clinic just in case we needed to see a doctor. Her English is perfect. We felt very welcome at this hotel. We would stay here again in te future.
The hotel had a great value all-inclusive pack for the end of August. The food was excellent, I really liked that there was a chef standing there and cooking one meal on the spot. The staff was really nice and helpful, the cleaning lady was always setting the bed with a new story theme. The location is perfect, away from crowds but close to the best beaches on the island. Thank you for this perfect vacation 🥰
Nice apartment, clean, in quiet area, beach is very close-just across the street, nice tavernas with excellent food near the place, there always is parking spot right next to place.
Good place to stay if you are nature lover and want to get away from crowded areas, if you plan to travel with rented car around Chania (not for the ones that are looking for parties)
Damoulis is a great super attentive host! The appartment is extra big, classy, beds are comfortable, everything was very clean. Despite being on the main street due to perfect airconditioning and high quality windows you can have a good rest. Small cafe is just across the street with very good coffee. Good base to discover West Crete.
The host is superfriendly! Best place to stay in Maleme of you like a relaxing vibe. Rooms are very clean, beds are comfortabel, everything you need is there (even good conditioner for that dry beachhair 😉). Our airco broke down and we immediately got another room. The next day, the airco was replaced.
I had an amazing time at the Ledra Maleme hotel. Staff made me feel so welcome and made sure I was taking care off me the entire time. I really enjoyed every moment. The hotel choice is important for your vacations, everything was perfect in this hotel: location, ameneties etc.
Summer Lodge is really nice hotel with traditional Greek ornaments. Very clean, very tidy. They have really comfortable beds. Mr Vasilios, Mrs Rebeka and Mrs Ahtena, our hosts, helped us a lot to find car and with instructions what to visit in Crete.
Great hotel a few meters away from the beach.
Verry clean, nice rooms, and friendly staff, especially the chefs.
The food was exceptional (breakfast and dinner). Every day the chefs prepared new dishes, some of them prepared on the spot.
We were met by Dimitris and Maria upon arrival who showed us around the property and answered any questions we had. We exchanged phone numbers and was advised we could call 24/7 if there were any problems or wanted any info on Crete.
Kostas and Maria are very friendly and willing to help you to have a good time at their property. Location is good. Near to the best beaches in Crete. Room is spacious and very clean. Quiet zone at night. Aircon works pretty well.
The hotel has a lot of amenities an is super clean. We had the breakfast option and the breakfast was awesome. Plenty of food and the staff is amazing. Room was clean. Pool, gym and kids play area.
Everything was perfect. The hotel was close to the beach, a restaurant with delicious food. Apartment clean, swimming pool, fitness center, laundry, nice owners and cleaning lady ♡
