Great place we went out of season but there was still enough bars and tavernas open, but many more to open and they looked good also. We also had two dogs with us and we and them were welcome everywhere. Could not fault the friendly people and the hospitality we had at our hotel and bars and tavernas was first rate. We will definitely be going back.

Lovely fishermen’s town with great tavernas and bars/cafes. Chilled and relaxing atmosphere. Very nice beach, again with good tavernas serving delicious Greek and international food. Walking distance between town, beach and hotels. Hidden gem for me.

It is in strategic position, central to reach beautyful beaches on the east and on the west of the village within 30 min-1 hour by car. It is also a small pictoresque and typical greekvillage with a small harbour, full of shop, markets, restaurants and services, but very quiet as well

After coming from Paleochora, I’m afraid Agia Galini was a huge disappointment. It looks tired and run down and the beach is less than spectacular. The view of the water from any restaurant is marred by the rather grotesque breakwater. I would advise folks to stay in Spili. A much prettier town.

Ag. Galini is a beautiful small city, located on the hill.
Ag. Galini is a beautiful small city, located on the hill. Although is a touristic place its quite and peaceful. Everything is near and you don't need the car to move around. The beach is beautiful and the local shops have a great variety. The local cuisine is delicious and the people very friendly.
We stayed here for 3 nights and really had a wonderful time. The building and all the rooms are completely renovated in a modern, super-stylish way. The room was cleaned every day, cleanliness really was exceptional. The owner is a young, super friendly guy who gave us great advice on where to find authentic Greek restaurants and lonely beaches to watch the sunset. We can therefore absolutely recommend this place.
Very nice place. We were at the hotel during September and it was very peaceful. We don't know how it is during July and August with all the kids.
The grounds are fabulous. We'll kept.
The room was very clean, larg, the bed was comfortable although it was 2 single combined. The resturant is very good. Breakfast and dinners were exalent. All the stuff were very nice and helpfull. We will be back to this hotel.
The villa had a pool shared with just one more unit (it was too cold to use in April).
The view to the hills and the sea is magnificent. The place is just few km from Agia Galini city and beach.
The kitchen is nice and well equipped. There's a corner with sofas and a TV.
The breakfast looked nice (we did not take it - it was too late for us).
What can I say. The sea view is great and Agia Galini is a pretty beach village, but the apartment itself is disappointing. Apart from new entrance doors and windows (and a new washing machine), no renovations to the interior have been done in the last 50 years . If you didnt suffer from depressia before, you will after having been staying here.
Gioma Hotel has such a family vibe. The staff is super friendly, helpful and welcoming and the breakfast with local and handmade food in their lovely garden gives the best start of a day. Location is perfect as it’s close to the Main Street but in a quiet area.
Unfortunately we only stayed for 2 nights but we really enjoyed our stay here!
I’ve been to Agia Galini many times and have stayed at the Akteon 3 times. If you’re looking for absolute luxury this isn’t for you. If you want a clean room, comfortable beds, linen and towels changed regularly, a location 2 minutes away from the harbour, bars and restaurants and a lovely host (Eleni) then I can thoroughly recommend it.
I ve been visiting Agia Galini frequently for 3 years, resulting in staying in more than 10 different hotels and apartments. Palazzo Greco has been probably the best, taking into consideration everything: location, amenities, personnel, breakfast, paid price.
Highly recommended.
The hosts were really nice and flexible, they really made us and our baby feel welcome. The hotel was a short walk from the beach and the city center, but also quite close to the main road, with plenty of parking space. Very good to explore the south of Crete from here!
Dimos the manager went out if his way to make us feel welcome. He was exceptionally friendly, hospitable and accommodating. We would recommend anyone traveling to Crete to stay here. A beautiful little town with warm and generous hosts.
This was the perfect location for visiting the central south. Near beach and archaeological sites. Amazing views from back balcony, incredibly helpful staff, very good breakfast, and free parking. Great value. Had a wonderful time here.
The apartment is clean, in the center of the small town, comfortable beds, large room which are well air-conditioned. Close to the beach, all shops and restaurants are right next to the apartment. Great place for a family stay.
Very clean. Traditional property but in very good condition. Friendly staff. Agia Galini is a nice village with restaurants and bars but also a very good starting point to explore the surrounding beaches and places by car.
Room overlooked a cute courtyard. Service was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was tasty. The hotel is located a short walk from all the beaches
The hotel was nice and quiet with an authentic, family feel.
The location was ideal, the room was spacious with very comfortable beds and everything in the property was extra clean! Our room had also a balcony with a great view of Agia Galini.
