The overall stay and welcome were amazing. The staff is very good, the attitude from check in (which was very late) to check out (which was very early) was perfect. Some things exceeded our expectations like bathrobes & slippers in the room or sandwiches late at night when we arrived. We had a really good time.
It's about a 15 min walk to the sea, but it's a nice chance to walk after all inclusive:) There are free beach loungers and there are luxury ones near the bar I would say - soft and with curtains also free for hotel guests, we liked them a lot.
The food was good, but there was always something very tasty and something average - not so stable for all of it.
As we had a late flight no buses were going from the airport (they work till 23 as I remember), so we got a taxi, no apps unfortunately, I tried to find some service on the internet, but it all was for beforehand booking. We went to the left from the airport exit and there was a taxi stop and it was no problem to get one as there was already a queue of them. For the way back we took a bus - the stop is just near the hotel to the right (but you need to buy your ticket beforehand in the shop on the other side of the road, only cash).
The impression from the hotel left was really good and I can recommend it completely. Though if you like warm sea, maybe think twice or you can always hire a car to travel to other parts of an island.

Gorgeous villa in the middle of an olive grove overlooking Heraklion. The villa was very clean and easily hosted me and my large group of friends (9 of us), as well as being very well stocked (there was even a first aid kit and aftersun lotion in the bathroom).
There were also two kitchens- one in the villa and one by the pool, which was useful since there was so many of us all waking up at different times- not to mention the functional BBQ and pizza oven. The pool was large and clean, with a pool cleaner coming halfway through our trip to ensure it stayed that way, and even had some large pool floaties.
The owner replied to my messages quickly and was very helpful when any issues came up.
