The hotel was soaked in traditional architecture and nods to the royal family both past and present.
The room was clean and very spacious. It was easy to locate. The added little touches were very nice, bottled water, chocolate and crisps.
Breakfast was a very pleasant experience. Lots to choose, hot and presented well.
The location was good and seemed to avoid the very central traffic. A member of staff gave good directions for walking into the centre.

We booked this property because we had two day trips planned and it was a convenient base. We didn't specifically want to be in Saughall and didn't look around the area. We chose the location as it was close to Chester Zoo. About 10 minutes in the car and it was half an hour from BeWILDerwood.
