The very definition of a hidden gem ! Set in the extensive grounds of the main house, the cottage had everything you need for a great stay. While it looks tiny from the outside, the rooms were surprisingly spacious: the accommodation came with a full kitchen, lounge with TV and log burner as well as a decent size bedroom and comfortable bed. There was also a fair size patio which at dusk turned into a dining room for badgers and foxes ! All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

Pleasant room BUT very close to the Metro line with trains passing every few minutes. Trains started at 05:11 and went on all day.. Could not get any sleep BUT when booked asked for a quiet room!!! What happened to my request. The room was way past the lift and other rooms bet was too close to the Metro. Meals were great. Hotel position was great. Bathroom and hot water was great. Room service was great.

Large spacious room. Large Bed. Gym and pool a bonus . Missed not having fridge in room but chilled water in reception very welcome. Staff all very helpful and cheerful.

Hotel staff really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Very clean in all areas of hotel. Spacious rooms and lovely modern en-suites. We were staying as a group of friends for a birthday. Great location in terms of easy access to Newcastle centre and the room rate was good value.
