Delicious breakfast, very comfortable room, excellent ambience in bar/restaurant with very pleasant music. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and conversation was interesting. The situation in the attractive quiet village was very convenient for the A303 and the beautiful garden at Lytes Carey about 5 mins away.
Langport is a lovely place. Plenty of shops including a fish and chip and a nearby Tesco, and 2 very impressive churches and a super river with a very walkable footpath. It's a great place in itself but it's also a good base for visiting nearby attractions such as the Abbey etc.

Aller, where the Hotel is, is a small village but its not far from Langport which is a village with a high street and pretty light colour brick houses.
Aller also has these type of houses also and if you have a dog with you there is an area to take them to about 10mins walk away for their exercise. I loved the whole area. It was so pretty. Well worth a stay.

We enjoyed one meal at the Devonshire Arms. Breakfast was very good, great poached eggs. Young lady, sorry I didn't ask her name was an asset to the business, serving breakfast, cleaning and checking us out, all done with a smile.
Lovely to see locals supporting the Local bar.

There are plenty of lovely walks in the area and lots of National Trust places to visit.
There are a few restaurants in Langport and a fish and chip shop. There is also a Tesco so you can always grab a sandwich for lunch. We had a few meals at the Firehouse in Curry Rival which is quite good but busy.

Good location, central for visiting all local attractions.
Good location, central for visiting all local attractions. We ate at The Old Pound Inn three evenings and have to say both the food and service were excellent. Great value for money.
We also made a stop at the Cider Shack a mile up the road for a cream tea but be aware it was Sunday afternoon and there were several locals drinking cider and getting very loud. Language was very colourful, so be aware if you are easily offended or have young children!
The hotel is situated in one of the main streets and has limited off road parking. It is a traditional style hotel with no frills, however, the staff and owners are very friendly, the breakfast was excellent, it was clean and for a one night stopover it was exceptional value for money. There is a beautiful walk along the river close to the hotel which was ideal for walking our dog (dogs are welcome).
The host left a very good welcome pack (Including their fresh eggs local cider, cereal etc very grateful.)
The setting was beautiful. & the game’s facilities & equipment vey good.
Loved the position of the caravan & the walks into Langport. Just found walking to use toilet & the shower etc was rather more difficult than I expected. This was my fault as I booked in a rush.
This was a lovely small hotel, like a B & B very close to friends who we were visiting in Langport. The staff were so kind and helpful. The bed was, honestly, one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Each staff member went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. I was actually a little sad to move on to London after our few days in the country side.
Nice set of apartments that we used for a group of guests for a wedding in the area. Team are friendly and Langport was a small cosy town to visit. The Kitchen down by the river was very enjoyable and the firehouse restaurant nearby also excellent.

Hotel rooms attached amazing old pub. Great location to visit a number of tourist locations in the area. Pub is classic English pub with low beams, variety of beers and ciders (Somerset). Breakfast very good and an extensive dinner menu
The location was excellent in the countryside but close enough to Langport for shops, restaurants etc.
The accommodation was perfect, comfortable bed, hot shower and lovely furnishings.
Will definitely return.
Fabulous grounds and gardens, perfect for a hot weekend. Plenty of space indoors for a large group (10). Very well equipped kitchens, ample dining space. Excellent location on outskirts of Langport.
Hosts were lovely, very welcoming. It was lovely being able to sit outside in a beautiful quiet garden. Full kitchen and more space than you get in a hotel room.
The hotel was really nice, the room was fantastic and very spacious.
The staff were extremely friendly and provided a very good service
The food was excellent
This is a comfortable, well run, accommodating hotel with lovely rooms, bar area and good food. Perfect for a short stay and value for money. Recommended
