With accommodation at a premium in Munich due to the Oktoberfest we decided to stay a little out of town for this visit. The hotel is conveniently located for public transport, with a bus stop right outside and a flat 800m walk from the train station which is on the airport line. The rooms were roomy, clean and comfortable with a welcoming shot of schnapps! It was also a pleasant walk to a local Bavarian restaurant which served amazing schnitzels. The in-house continental breakfast was not bad. The hotel also has a shuttle bus which cheerfully ferried us to the station when we left.

These quiet chalets beside Schleissheim Palace offer free WiFi, a buffet breakfast and free use of the swimming pool, sauna and fitness room next door. Central Munich is a 20-minute drive away.

Location is good if you need to stay close to Olympiapark and even the city centre is easily reachable with the nearby U-Bahn station.

Good transport links to town via tram 23. Parking around hotel and quiet rooms . Spotlessly clean and very helpful staff at reception . Breakfast was expensive but plentiful with good variety. Its a budget hotel but better than most
