Very good accomodations in the historic centre of Tongeren. I'm on a bikepacking trip and the owners and staff were very accommodating, helping me with a safe place to store my bike and a charger for my GPS and phone when mine was broken. I had a nice room with a comfortable bed and some beautiful vintage furniture. All in all a great place to spend the night after 153km on my bike.

The owner and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is beautiful with a canal running alongside the former water mill. Lush grass and seating areas on the lawn. Quaint bedroom with exposed beams, seating area, heating, and air conditioning (rare for Europe). Breakfast was simple but good. Owner was very hospitable and provided for my wife's food allergies (gluten and dairy). Great location for visiting the Tongeren antique market, Maastricht, Liege, etc.

Tongeren is a very clean village.
Tongeren is a very clean village. The people are always very kind and courteous. We enjoy eating at the different restaurants. They have a gelato shop with plenty flavors. If you want a great selection of wines, then Vinotel is the place for you! The Grand Place is quant with a beautiful Cathedral. Most things are within walking distance. We love visit Tongeren. We eat often in the centrum, They have a many restaurants and very good food. Every Sunday they have Antique market and we really love it. Friendly people and easy parking and lovely city!

Rustic old town with the roman city walls, gallo-roman museum.. which for me was the highlight. I learnt a lot about human civilization and origin of European history & thought. Loved the food culture and I would highly recommend 'De Infirmerie'. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Tongeren!
