Not a place for younger generations seeking for fun.
Not a place for younger generations seeking for fun. The city is pretty quiet and doesn't offer much. The food is good, beaches overly crowded. Not my favorite place unfortunately and I wouldn't go back.

Neum is a picturesque Adriatic town built into the steep surrounding hillside. That means ups are WAAAY UP and downs are WAAAY DOWN. Parking is challenging but some public lots are available. It seems that almost all hotels have some parking for guests. Be prepared to walk (remember the ups and downs). Typical hot days on the beach and cool evenings once the sun goes down. We were traveling with 4 adults and 3 young children(5,3,1). We brought a fold-up wagon for transport of umbrellas, beach chairs, towels and toys—it was indispensable. You can rent umbrellas and chaise lounges at Hotel Zenit beach (where we were). The beach is rocky, no sand and it is small. We were there Sept. 5-12, and it was still fairly crowded. The paddle boats and kayaks were 20km/hour. The 1/2 submarine ride was 15km/adult, 10km/child. Jet skis are 100km/30 minutes or 50km/10 minutes. Restaurants are OK—the best gelato is at Hotel Vapore, outside on the boardwalk. Galeb restaurant was great and Marinero had speedy delivery with great pizza and čevapi.

Neum is the single seaside town of Bosnia-Herzegovina that has a long pomerade with beaches, markets, restaurants, bars, ice cream and streetfood kiosks along the coastline. You can go to a boat cruise, a semi-submarine cruise and even a jetski ride!
In the centre parties are likely each night. If you are visiting from the former eastern block and remember the 90s, this place will most likely bring back some memories from that era, with a modern cover page.
The country is still catching up economically, therefore a higher percentage of the cars are older - VW Golf II is still very-very popular.
Don’t be surprised that smoking is still very common, even in the restaurants any any other public places.
Keep in mind that Bosnia is still a cash economy, it is suggested to ask in prior if you can pay by card. Larger shops and the petrol stations are usually accepting card payments. Euro is accepted in most tourist destinations.

It is a quaint little town with Only a few beaches to spend the days on. The main complaint would be the lack of publicly available space for towels and personal sunbeds because most of the beaches Are privately-owned, making it less suitable for some people.

If you like concrete and one hotel-block next to each other…. This is Neum. Feral Beach is secluded and approx 3 km away from civilization. You’ll meet fantastic owners, excellent food, lovely view, nice beach and you’ll have eco-style houses, all in all „perfect imperfection to relax and slow down!

We were travelling and used Neum just as transit for one night break. What I saw in this short period wouldnt make me to come again. I mean appartment and people were ok but the beach too crowded and the whole town is full of discarded rubbish so I didnt feel good here.
One of the most pristine hotels I have ever seen. Even our kids, who have a tendency to complain, were appreciative of the conditions here. The receptionist was very nice and helpful in accommodating our requests. Nothing comes cheap, though, so expect to be charged for all extra favours (like keeping the car in the garage for a couple of hours more after checkout). All in all, a very good experience and definitely my first choice when coming back to Neum.
The staff was kind and accommodating. Hotel was always clean. Buffet had good options for food. Every dinner was different. Hotel is next to grocery store so you can get snacks easily. Garage and back parking is free. Close to gas station. Gym was a decent size and had enough equipment for a good workout. Table tennis and billiards was a nice addition after a long day at the beach/pool. Spa was nice with many different options for treatments.
Great location in the peaceful part of Neum. Only a few steps to the sea. The Knezevic apartments have their own part of the dock with deck chairs for rent (only 5 KM per day). Few restaurants are available nearby, as well as a few grocery shops. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and smelled nice.
Our host, Marija, was very helpful, always nearby for all of our needs without being intrusive.
We were well received by Marina and Stip. The service from start to finish was good. Very nice people. The apartment is clean and modern with 5 beds divided into 2 bedrooms. Ideal. In front of the door you have a garden set and a beautiful view over the valley of Neum and the sea in the distance. We came with our own car, so the ride up was no problem. In short, an ideal holiday home!
Spacious rooms, awesome balcony with great view on the bay, good breakfast which was constantly refilled. Really comfortable beds. Super pleasant stuff. Great air-condition, which was priceless as we were in Neum during heat wave. I also like location, as the nearby beach is one of the best - has all facilities but is not overcrowded as the central ones.
Beautiful place, comfy, clean, absolutely lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Pool is nice, but the sunbed price is quite high. Hotel beach not bad at all, you can find your spot. It's worth it because otherwise Neum beaches get very, very crowded.
Hotel staff exceptionally nice, receptionists absolutely professional.
Recommending.
Our host went above and beyond for us. unfortunately I got covid on my trip but she helped my boyfriend find the nearest pharmacy and checked on me every now and then. She also gave us great tips on what to see and do in Neum. Honestly the nicest host & the nicest apartment I’ve had in Bosnia.
The staff was very pleasant. There is a nearby beach that was awesome with no crowd. The property is located at the end of Neum so the sea is clean. If you care about the nightlife, you have to be ready for a long walk to the center.
We loved the breakfast. So fresh, so tasty and extra large portions. You get a plenty of choices. Hotel have a great view over Jazine bay, and a great area behind the hotel where you can do barbeque without any limitation.
The hotel and the beach are paved with stones, which is rare nowadays. The majority of the guests were my compatriots. The sea is ecologically healthy. The city of Neum is vibrant.
The location is very nice on the quite side of the town. The hotel has a private beach and is big enough not to be overcrowded. The breakfast is tasty and there is enough variety.
Davorka is very nice and polite host. Room is clean and close to the beach with amazing view from the terrace. I would definitely recommend to the other guests.
