The staff in the restaurant was so nice..they offered me for free breakfast when they knew that I slept in my car during that night because the receptionist emailed me a wrong box code where they put my room card .. the receptionist don’t know how to comfort the guest.she want me to to entertain at 7am and go to my room upstairs at 10am ..for 10 hours driving alone from Como to Gosau..I am expecting to have a comfortable and safe place to sleep when I arrived.that is not how you treat the guest..very unprofessional. If she is uncertain with her decision..refer to the manager or verify what she should do..because lying is not a solution, it provokes more to clients..remember: the most important to a person is your credibility..when you make an untrue statement..you are a liar..!

Perfect remote, private location.
Perfect remote, private location. A lot of attractions, towns, cities worth visiting are reachable by car from that location (e.g. Hallstatt, Obertraun, Salzburg). It‘s small but has everything you need for a few days vacation, grocery store and a few restaurants.

Beautiful location with lots to do, especially if you enjoy outdoor/adventure holidays: walking, hiking, biking and climbing etc. The views from the valley are beautiful though so also makes for a beautiful spot to relax with a good book. We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed the walking trail near our house.
We enjoyed the walking trail near our house. We also enjoyed trying to walk around the lake. It was pretty warm that day and I didn't get half way before my family said I probably needed to go back (age 81). Two of them made it all the way around but one daughter stayed with me. It was good advice to go back as I was pretty pooped by then. Two of them went up the gondola and two of us stayed behind. One of my daughters walked other various trails there and also went to the castle ruins. I loved looking at the beautiful mountains and everyone was mowing and making hay while we were there. Was interesting to see how different it was from the way we do it in America. Gosau and Hallstatt are two of my favorite places.

Gosau is a lovely place to stay.
Gosau is a lovely place to stay. The village is quite spread out, but this adds to the rural feel of village, which is very appealing. The residents are very friendly and helpful. The skiing is excellent. Gosau is well situated for short day trips to beautiful towns of Hallstatt and Bad Ishl. I could very easily live there full time. A charming place with incredible views from valley and whilst out skiing. Very good lift system out on mountains.DeborahAustralia - 10Scored 10
We loved Gosau.
We loved Gosau. Initially we wanted to stay in Hallstatt, but there were no available rooms for good price in any hotel there. So I checked the map for locations around and found Gosau. In the end it's so much better we've chosen Gosau as this place is so much more relaxed with not that many tourist. We'll definitely go back to this place if we are around. Highly recommended.AndorHungary

It has two very clean and well-equipped bathrooms and a great functioning kitchen. The hosts were very helpful with everything and the check in and check out completely hassle-free. The location is fantastic! You are very close to the magnificent Gosau lake with tons of activities around. Totally recommended for a group of friends - the house can sleep up to 7-8 people if you squeeze a bit.

Location was well-connected for walks in the woods and it was a quick drive to the Gosauseen and Hallstatt. We used the apartment as a place to recuperate from daily hikes. The windows were surprisingly good at keeping out the sounds of the incredibly loud church bells (that go off every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

Peter is also a great host. It was a pleasure to interact with him and his family. The location, Gosau is also nice and secluded. Perfect if you have a car.
