Theresa was such a brilliant hostess, she made it feel like home.Breakfast was just right to set you up for the day. The food in the evenings was beautifully prepared. I would definitely recommend Casa de Proteas for a beautiful and relaxing holiday destination.

Situated in a restored 18th-century home, Casa Da Piedade offers a lounge with fireplace, outdoor garden with barbecue and brightly decorated rooms. Wi-Fi and parking are free. Offering a terrace and city view, Alexia Room is set in Funchal, 1.7 km from Marina do Funchal and 15 km from Girao Cape. Alexandra is a great host, super friendly, and helpful. She personally welcomed us, even though we arrived very late. The room was super comfortable, and the breakfast was great, fruit, bread, cheese, ham, yogurt and some sweets 😋. She also have some fruit and welcome snacks ready for us.

Located in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos and only 2.1 km from Vigário Beach, Vila Afonso provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Vila Afonso is a hidden gem - it was our little slice of paradise! The view and property itself are just out of this world, the property grounds are so beautifully maintained that it's wonderful to just lounge about in the garden all day. The owner was most helpful and kind, making sure that everything was in order, and he even provided us with lactose free milk for breakfast upon request!

Sunset House in Arco da Calheta provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a terrace and barbecue facilities. Very clean and spacious room and house, with amazing views. Comfortable bed, good shower pressure and temperature. A generous kitchen that would be excellent for long stays.

Featuring pool views, bluegreen offers accommodation with balcony, around 1.1 km from Caminho Faja do Mar Beach. With sea views, this accommodation provides a terrace and a swimming pool. This guesthouse was just wonderful in all ways! The owners are really sweet and kind and made us feel so welcome! Both the pool and the balcony had a view of the Atlantic ocean. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Thé expérience was wonderful. The place was peaceful, rooms big and comfortable, perfectly equipped. Great view and vast terraces. The owners are approaching their work with passion and dedication. They have high working ethics and are very inspiring. It is possible to hike a lot, there is accès to two trails from the town. We are grateful for this stay and hope more people will benefit from this lovely place.

Set in Câmara de Lobos, 700 metres from Vigário Beach, Casa da Cal - by Casas na Ilha offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Honestly at first, I was a bit taken aback that there is no staff on site and that it was more of a house/Airbnb type than a hotel. However, it turned out to be AMAZING. I made this purchase DAY OF because of a very stressful last minute change to my trip, and this place was just what I needed to unwind and relax. Everything was super clean, and safe, and the facilities were just wonderful. I also talked with the cleaning lady the next day and she was super sweet. There were mango trees dropping fruit on the property, and all in all it was just magical. Free protected parking and everything. I felt completely safe there. There’s also a grocery store like a 5 min walk away if you want to go pick things up to cook (as well as many eateries).
