The location was perfect in Funchal - you could easily walk around the city and get to bus services in a couple of minutes. Sonia and Sonia were super friendly and helpful too.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located in Sítio da Felpa, S. Jorge, Madeira Island. It offers an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation about 50 km from Funchal.

All Proteas’ rooms are heated and have a private bathroom. Some rooms have a kitchenette and sea views, while others have wooden sloped ceilings. It was a wonderful experience that was made exceptional by the kindness we received from the owner Teresa and the other members of the staff. We had dinner several times here during our stay and it was always delicious and served in a lovely and familiar atmosphere.

Casa Da Piedade’s rooms feature wood furniture, as well as a TV and telephone. Each private bathroom includes a walk-in shower. A beautiful place with a very nice garden and freezing pool :) easy to relax sitting in the chair or lying in the hammock, since it is further from the main road, it is also quiet Lovely staff, we talked mostly with Rubina (?) always with a smile, although she was probably quite busy Tasty breakfast Very nice room with amazing view of the surrounding mountains (1st floor), the whole house is very nice, bright and maintained Welcome drink (Madeira wine) and a tasty cake (forgot to ask for the name, it was not pastel nata) Would definitely come back someday!

Offering a terrace and city view, Alexia Room is set in Funchal, 1.7 km from Marina do Funchal and 15 km from Girao Cape. Featuring sea and mountain views, this bed and breakfast also comes with free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is situated 700 metres from Almirante Reis Beach. Hospitality of Alexandra and the cute breakfast. The view and the short way to the city. Quite area.

At the bed and breakfast, every unit has a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. There is also a well-fitted kitchenette in some of the units equipped with a microwave, a toaster, and a fridge. Vila Afonso is a hidden gem - it was our little slice of paradise! The view and property itself are just out of this world, the property grounds are so beautifully maintained that it's wonderful to just lounge about in the garden all day. The owner was most helpful and kind, making sure that everything was in order, and he even provided us with lactose free milk for breakfast upon request!

Sunset House in Arco da Calheta provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a terrace and barbecue facilities. Featuring mountain and garden views, this guest house also provides guests with free WiFi. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and a housekeeping service for guests. The location if you travel with car is best, the view is incredible ❤️ The hosta are very nice and helpful. Housenis very calm & peaceful. Kitchen is well-equiped and hosts even offer some products from their garden ^^ Highly recommend if you don’t mind not having the private bathroom. Thank you guys and best of luck!

Located within 2.7 km of Calheta Beach and 25 km of Girao Cape, Amoreira House offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Calheta. With garden views, this accommodation features a balcony. The guest house provides mountain views, a picnic area, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The apartment was very nice and well equipped. Everything was really clean. The host is the most kind and hospitable person ever. We really enjoyed the place and, if ever again on Madeira, we will definitely stay in Amoreira House.

There isn't a simple and concise way of explaining how amazing our stay was. When we looked at the images we knew we were renting a fabulous place with a great view, but it exceeded our expectations in every way. The house is amazing, enough room, thoroughly equipped in terms of appliances and utensils, and pretty much any thing you might wish for. It was better equipped than the majority of apartments you'd rent out for normal living. The view and garden is amazing and since it's facing the sea (while being decently away from the street) you do feel like you're in your own little piece of heaven. Sitting in the deck chairs and staring into the sea, be it day or night, feels like resting in a secret space nobody knows of :) The location is great, you can get wherever you want really fast, and it's much quieter in Funchal. But if I had to pick my favorite part, it's the hosts, they're kind, open for communication and considerate, and you can see how much they care about the guests in every detail within the house. If we ever come to Madeira again, there's no doubt we'd love to come back to Encanto do Sol <3
