Casa de Proteas is a lovely place to stay. Theresa was such a brilliant hostess, she made it feel like home.Breakfast was just right to set you up for the day. The food in the evenings was beautifully prepared. I would definitely recommend Casa de Proteas for a beautiful and relaxing holiday destination.

Alexandra is a great host, super friendly, and helpful. She personally welcomed us, even though we arrived very late. The room was super comfortable, and the breakfast was great, fruit, bread, cheese, ham, yogurt and some sweets 😋. She also have some fruit and welcome snacks ready for us.

Vila Afonso is a hidden gem - it was our little slice of paradise! The view and property itself are just out of this world, the property grounds are so beautifully maintained that it's wonderful to just lounge about in the garden all day. The owner was most helpful and kind, making sure that everything was in order, and he even provided us with lactose free milk for breakfast upon request!

Very clean and spacious room and house, with amazing views. Comfortable bed, good shower pressure and temperature. A generous kitchen that would be excellent for long stays.

This guesthouse was just wonderful in all ways! The owners are really sweet and kind and made us feel so welcome! Both the pool and the balcony had a view of the Atlantic ocean. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Encanto do Sol ligger i Ponta do Sol, 500 m fra Ponta do Sol-stranden og 1,7 km fra Lugar de Baixo-stranden. Der er have og havudsigt. Denne ejendom ved stranden har adgang til en terrasse. There isn't a simple and concise way of explaining how amazing our stay was. When we looked at the images we knew we were renting a fabulous place with a great view, but it exceeded our expectations in every way. The house is amazing, enough room, thoroughly equipped in terms of appliances and utensils, and pretty much any thing you might wish for. It was better equipped than the majority of apartments you'd rent out for normal living. The view and garden is amazing and since it's facing the sea (while being decently away from the street) you do feel like you're in your own little piece of heaven. Sitting in the deck chairs and staring into the sea, be it day or night, feels like resting in a secret space nobody knows of :) The location is great, you can get wherever you want really fast, and it's much quieter in Funchal. But if I had to pick my favorite part, it's the hosts, they're kind, open for communication and considerate, and you can see how much they care about the guests in every detail within the house. If we ever come to Madeira again, there's no doubt we'd love to come back to Encanto do Sol <3

Casa da Cal - by Casas na Ilha ligger i Câmara de Lobos, 700 m fra Vigário-stranden, og tilbyder indkvartering med udendørs swimmingpool, gratis privat parkering, have og terrasse. Honestly at first, I was a bit taken aback that there is no staff on site and that it was more of a house/Airbnb type than a hotel. However, it turned out to be AMAZING. I made this purchase DAY OF because of a very stressful last minute change to my trip, and this place was just what I needed to unwind and relax. Everything was super clean, and safe, and the facilities were just wonderful. I also talked with the cleaning lady the next day and she was super sweet. There were mango trees dropping fruit on the property, and all in all it was just magical. Free protected parking and everything. I felt completely safe there. There’s also a grocery store like a 5 min walk away if you want to go pick things up to cook (as well as many eateries).
