We would highly recommend El Peregrino to anyone visiting Ometepe. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were cleaned every day, there is a mosquito/insect screen door so your room is always comfortable plus a fan in the room. The location is great, base yourself here with a scooter, there is no need to stay on the other side of the island. The communal areas make it easy to mix with other people and you are embedded in nature. José the owner was incredibly helpful to us throughout our stay. The kitchen was excellent. The garden was full of fruit and veg which we were free to use. Amazing place!

The property is very typical and authentic, Rosa, Maria and all the family is so so so nice !! We felt like we were in our family. They welcomed us so well !

Walking distance to main road with some nice restaurants within 30 mins. Information booklet in the room was helpful. Help to rent mopeds, organise transport, guides etc. The room was spacious, bed was really comfortable, hardly any creepy crawlies (this is a complaint from many of the eco lodges). Good wifi. 2 fans which was nice. Good shower pressure and temperature.

Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Charmingly decorated property with a lot of greenery. We had a lovely private cabin with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. Lots of friendly animals on site. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Tatiana was the best of host, she deserve a medal, she oriented us to the best activities, Location to eat, and she rented us scooter at the best price. the chicken bus allows to go everywhere from just the front of the hostel to the rest of Ometepe: what a place !

Guest House Nena di Moyogalpa mempunyai taman dan teras. Akomodasi ini menyediakan resepsionis 24 jam, transfer bandara, dapur bersama, dan WiFi gratis. I left two pouches with my passport, money, and everything important I was traveling with at the Guest House Nena when I departed to take a ferry back to San Jorge. I had no idea I had left them! They were under a sheet on the bed that I had inadvertently covered them with. After the people at the Guesthouse found my pouches and their valuable contents, they looked around for me, and the young lady from the Nena eventually ended up boarding ferry before we left and asked for me. Fortunately, she found me. I thanked her profusely and gave her a hug. I was extremely happy and grateful to have my stuff and to have adverted a semi-disaster. I owe that girl and the Guest House Nena in Moyogalpa….
