A genuinely friendly guy named Guruge owns this homestay. The villa seems like it's in the jungle, but it's very close to the bus and train stations. I just spent a week relaxing at the nearby beach, biking around Hikkaduwa, and preparing simple meals in the villa's kitchen. The managers really make you feel welcomed. Waking up to the dawn chorus of exotic birds in the surrounding trees is one thing I'll remember, along with relaxing on the veranda with a good book (more often, with my phone). So glad I could take time off to get over busy days of traveling.

STUTHI VILLA is situated in Ahangama and has a pool with a view and pool views. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Everything was amazing. The place itself is very calm and good to relax, with a beautiful garden and pool area. The bedroom was very comfortable and well kept. The Sri lankan breakfast was really tasty, we loved it. And a special shout-out to Asanka, who was very welcoming and did everything for us to have a really nice stay. Thank you!

Set in Hikkaduwa, within less than 1 km of Hikkaduwa Beach and 2.2 km of Narigama beach, Mandara Rest offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. An amazing quiet place with lots of beautiful birds around. You can watch them taking their bath every afternoon. The owner was so kind and helpful. The beach was reachable by 10 -15 min walk. I would definitely come back again . You will enjoy this place a lot if you like the nature.

Susanna and Tusharo (please excuse me if I’m misspelling the names :) were wonderful hosts. Welcoming and informative. It really felt like our own house. Spotless clean, equipped with everything a traveler needs, beautiful nature around, a garden well kept. Another great thing is the hosts really care about animals and Tusharo shared fascinating information about the connection local people share with the sea turtles (we got lucky and swam with them). The beach has some great surf. Would love to come back and stay more.

Sailors' Bay is located on the seafront in Hikkaduwa, a few steps from Narigama beach and 1.2 km from Dodanduwa Beach. The air-conditioned accommodation is 2 km from Rathgama Beach. Palvelu oli ensiluokkaista. Veljekset pitivät huolta meidän viihtyvyydestä ja auttoivat kaikessa tarvittavassa. Pariskuntana meille oli myös tärkeää saada omaa rauhaa ja tilaa, joka tässä paikassa toteutui. Pidimme myös siitä, että paikka sijaitsi rauhallisella rannalla eikä ollut täynnä turisteja. Yövyimme ensin yhden yön, mutta tykästyimme paikkaan niin kovin, että varasimme heti kolme yötä lisää. Suosittelen suuresti tätä paikkaa! Myös aamupala oli hyvä ja täyttävä!
