We had the loveliest time at the Gableview Forest Inn. Satoshi and Elizabeth are so kind and helped us out hugely during our stay. Satoshi is an AMAZING cook. The food was incredible, so I definitely recommend having dinner at the inn! The room was super comfortable, it was great to have our own little kotatsu and the baths at the inn (both inside and the outside one with the forest view) were divine. If we are ever back in Nikko/Japan we will definitely stay again!

He took as from and to the train station, recommended local things to try and was very considerate! He even shipped an item I forgot to our next destination. The place was great too, offering very authentic experience, as well as a private room with tatami and futon beds and authentic japanese style breakfast (American breakfast is also an option, but we wanted the authentic experience). The view from the B&B is also great! Highly recommended location!

The room was impeccable and fully equipped with appliances and kitchen equipment, We were able to buy some premade mean from the nearby supermarket and use the microwave there to heat up our food.

Free Wi-Fi is provided in the whole building. Friendly staff lots of great suggestions where to go, lovely accommodation, it was one of my favorite stays on my whole trip. I will stay here when I return.

The rooms were nice and offered enough space together with the living room that could be used at any time. Free tea and fresh water available at any time. The private onsen was great, especially after coming back after a cold day sight seeing. The free bread breakfast was delicious. The stay was the highlight of our trip!

The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and free shuttle service for guests. What a beautiful, traditional Japanese home with the most wonderful host, Hiro-san. He was so communicative before and during our stay, so accommodating with a great sense of humour. He went out of his way to take us to and from the stations, to dinner, etc. Special shoutout to Hiro-san’s gorgeous and gentle doggy companion, Marie-chan. And oh my gosh, the lovely bath prepared for us every evening!! If we are ever in the area, we will go out our way to stay here again. Thank you Hiro-san.
