Situated just 18 km from Mullingar Arts Centre, Lir Lodge offers accommodation in Castlepollard with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as full-day security. Breakfast was continental but was delicious and plenty. We were lost and the hostess came to us to follow her to the B&B. The B&B was absolutely beautiful, clean, amazing views, and the rooms we’re comfortable, and a great layout. The hostess made you feel like family. Will definitely stay here for our future travel plans. Highly recommended. The price was better than most we’ve been paying for.

Offering an open-air bath and garden view, Highfield house bed and breakfast COLLINSTOWN is located in Collinstown, 20 km from Mullingar Arts Centre and 20 km from Mullingar Greyhound Stadium. The hosts were lovely and breakfast in their kitchen was amazing. My room & bed were large with firm pillows; I was able to open window to get fresh air; gardens were delightful and the deck was lovely to sit on and relax after a long days drive. Ensuite was a good size with strong HOT water. A small area in hallway was set up with T/C/S, with a jug of milk, biscuits and bottles of cold water available in a small fridge.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Templemacateer provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. This was a great stopover on our way from Dublin to Galway! It was our first night in Ireland and due to a delayed flight we arrived a bit after check-in time, but we had great communication with the host and it was no problem at all! We were kindly welcomed and our host even served us some homemade carrot cake and lovely tea in a comfy living room with a real fireplace. Our room was very spacious and we felt like in a castle. High ceilings and a huge bed. There also was a free standing bath tub in the bathroom which was lovely. There was no noise at night and they have blackout curtains in the room so we slept very well. In the morning we were served a real Irish breakfast in the beautiful dining room, completed with fresh orange juice. The bacon is from their own farm, as well as two types of homemade bread. All in all a lovely stay and we were glad to be hosted here for our first night in the country. We will absolutely visit again when back in Ireland!

The location was great very quiet. Mary makes an excellent breakfast! Very friendly a clean highly recommed!

Lír B&B, a property with a garden, is set in Multyfarnham, 14 km from Mullingar Arts Centre, 14 km from Mullingar Greyhound Stadium, as well as 29 km from Loughcrew Historical Gardens & Visitor... Everything. The host was lovely. We had two Great breakfasts. Good conversation and directions on what to do and see!

Seber House, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Kilbeggan, 12 km from Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre, 20 km from Dun na Si Heritage & Genealogical Centre, as well as 29 km from Mullingar... Seber House is a wonderful and cosy B‘n‘B well located within the village. Bernie is a great host who took impeccable care of her guests. The space is very comfortable and clean, with a small sitting room across the hall, where I was able to work in peace. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. I can only highly recommend it!

Inny River Lodge offers a rural setting next to the Inny River and surrounded by unspoilt countryside. Our amiable host Anne went out of her way to make our (too short) stay pleasant. We got a welcoming tea right upon our arrival and found our room to be not only pretty, but with very comfy beds and mattresses, a sparkling clean room and bathroom and lots of nice extras like hand lotion. The Irish breakfast was outstanding, it was our first one in this country and Anne had everything prepared freshly, even the bread was home-baked by her. The rural area makes for a wonderful deep sleep and we will definitely recommend this place and top on our list of places to stay again and for longer then! It is a very warm and welcoming house that displays genuine Irish spirit and a tasteful decoration all over, too!

Quietly situated, the family-run Shelmalier House is just 5 minutes’ drive from the town of Athlone. It features a sauna, free Wi-Fi, and free private parking. This place was wonderful. The owner Jim went out of his was to make us welcome and comfortable. There was glitch in our plans and Jim went out of his way to get it fixed fot us. It was raining and we got wet and cold-he brought us a heater.that warmed us up. He could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this place. 😀
