The accomodation itself has everything on the doorstep. Restaurant, pubs, breakfast cafe and the shops in the main street.

Located 23 km from MetroCentre, Duke of Wellington Inn offers 5-star accommodation in Corbridge and features a shared lounge, a bar and water sports facilities. Off the beaten path, beautiful location, wonderful restaurant and bar. Large, quiet room.

The Coach and Horses has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Hexham. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 34 km of MetroCentre. Lovely upgraded room as it was quiet, the two ladies on duty on the evening I stayed couldn't have been more helpful. Can't comment on food as I didn't eat there but breakfast was excellent.I would definitely go back.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Hotspur House provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. First of all our host of Hotspur House Liz she is terrific , a very welcoming person and nothing to much for her . Breakfast superb . Location wise fantastic , a quiet village and not far from Hexham , Newcastle or even Durham . Our Deluxe room was excellent and clean, perfect beds . A lovely view over the village square from our bedroom ,the bathroom had a view over the garden. And last but not least a big thank you to Liz for making us feel at home (and we musn't forget to mention the homemade cookies , which we really liked.... ) We would like to recommend Hotspur House to everyone
