Hotellet ligger 16 km fra Parc des Expositions Avignon og 25 km fra Avignons hovedbanegård. The property is as described in the listing but the photos don’t do it justice. The host - Gilles- was fantastic and made sure I was able to access the building and my room out of hours. He also made great recommendations for places to visit and to dine in the area and we had great conversations over an equally good breakfast spread. While there is no parking on site, the property is one minute walk away from a public parking lot and the area felt very safe. It is also very close to the train station and city centre which are great conveniences in a small town. There are no elevators in the property but there are two lovely studio apartments on the ground floor if accessibility is a concern. I would very likely stay here again as a base for visiting Provence.

The location was close to gorgeous vineyards, outdoor shopping, and a city in France voted “the most beautiful in the world.”. The hosts were wonderful and their hospitality is something that you will not experience at other hotels. They had fantastic recommendations for dining and activities. The rooms have balconies with incredible views, reliable wifi and come with breakfast every morning. If we return to the area we will definitely stay at La Chaumiere again.

Julie, the owner and her daughter looked after us very well. Julie is a fount of information about the area so you were never short of places to visit. The breakfasts, with lots of lovey homemade products were fabulous. The village is everything you ever dreamed about - the perfect, picturesque French stone built buildings, full of character served with plenty of places to eat and drink.. The location of the property on the little square with the fountain and the bar was a dream. We will be back.
