Nicely designed, with remnants of old house deliberately kept to retain a bit of history. Interior is very clean with comfy beds and room layout. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful in making our trip such an enjoyable and memorable one! We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to be back!

The hotel is built as a traditional house right beside the village square and it's traditional drum house. Wei was very helpful. He booked us a taxi from the train station to the hotel , explained about the activities in the area and the spatial traditional dinner and dancing. He even let us keep the room until 16:30 with no additional charge

Baike Boutique Hotel is located in Longji Rice Terraces and offers a restaurant. Most of its rooms offer priavte balcony with stunning terrace views. Even better than the pictures! Perfect location. Fantastic and helpful staff. I wish I had stayed much longer than two nights. I can't overhype this hotel!

Just 5 km from Yangshuo, The Giggling Tree is an unique guest house which is located in the tiny village of Little Mountain Gate. The Giggling hotel has great location at the Yulong river. we rented electric scooters to ride along this river. you can also ride to Yangshuo downtown. Kids like the outside swimming pools a lot. they swim twice a day. the large one is 1,40m deep. food is excellent and affordable (chinese and western). kids like the french fries with self made chicken nuggets a lot, we ate other chinese food, all very delicious (salads, eggplant, lemon chicken etc). Employees are very friendly and help with everything. Large rooms have good airconditiing, large comfortable beds (with mosquito nets if needed) and bathrooms are large and very comfortable and stylish. we also took taxi to Guilin (sevenstars park and downtown) and ofcourse we also went to ride boat on the Li river and to dazhai longji rice terraces. Swimming pool was a big suprise and big PLUS.

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, Zen Box House is located in Jiuxian Village, 9 km from Yangshuo city centre. Loved the laid back vibe of the village and the hotel. I was after a retreat from the city and that’s exactly what I got, didn’t want to leave! 老张 is very hospitable - always checking if you’re hungry and then will whip something up in the kitchen. Another guest that arrived said they wanted to hike some of the nearby hills so 老张 was like, ‘let’s go!’ and took us - the entrance is through someone else’s kitchen/back garden so we’d never have got access ourselves. He also mentioned he could take us to places to swim, climb etc. Really love the village atmosphere, everyone knows each other and knows the secret routes/best food spots. Reminded me of my rural village community in the UK. I was able to borrow 老张‘s road bike and cycled to the river to catch one of the rafts, it’s about a ~30min leisurely cycle to get there. There are cycle/foot paths along the river too, so another nice way to experience the scenery. The hotel itself is very quaint. I had one of the Japanese style single rooms and was very happy there, it looks exactly like the picture. They will pre-heat the bed for you in the colder months, nice touch! Water, tissues, towel etc all provided. The toilets and showers are just downstairs, a 10 second walk, and are very pleasant. The toilets are the Japanese ones with heated seats etc. The other helper is also lovely, and she packed my rucksack with fresh pomelo when I set off for my cycle excursion. They grow pomelo etc. beside the house, and also have chickens so eggs fresh too. Loved the rooftop, very zen and great view over the hills. They also have some friendly cats. Will 100% return.

Long Ji One Art Hotel offers peaceful retreat in a bamboo stilted building in Longsheng. Free WiFi access is available. Some units offer stunning views of Longsheng Rice Terrace. Miss Liang was extremely kind and took care of helping us hike to the other villages, arranging cars, and cooking us wonderful food. We stayed an extra night (total of 3 nights) and the views from our room and the common spaces were amazing. We liked the location of Ping’An village because it seemed a bit less crowded than Dazhai with the chair lift and loud speaker. The building was all timber using the local traditional style as well which we really liked. We will hopefully visit again soon to see how the rice terraces change as they get ready to harvest the rice.

A 2-minute ferry ride from Xing Ping Town, Our Inn offers sweeping views of the mountains. It features free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and cosy rooms with a cable TV. The inn is very nice and the staff was really helpful. The owner speaks English which is quite handy. It is possible to have dinner and breakfast there which are also quite good. The hotel is located on the left bank of the river, this is very good to start hiking but be aware that the last boat from the town centre is around 7pm, so it is hard to stay longer in the town center

Surrounded by mountains, rivers and underground caves, Yangshuo Village Inn is only a 5-minute walk from Moon Hill and a 15-minute drive from West Street Tourist Centre. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Yangshuo Village Inn is not fancy but it had everything we need. The staff were very kind and professional. They were willing to help us with travel tips and suggestions and did not try to make profits out of it. The food was great and good value. We brought wine and they set the wine glasses without charge. The building and the facilities are very well maintained. Our favorite was their bikes that we could rent for free.
