This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in during 6 months of traveling in South America. The owners really make you feel like you're at home and part of the family. Everyone tends to eat together at the large dining table which is a great way to get to know the other travelers. Some nights there are social events - pizza night, fellow travelers playing music or putting on a show. I loved everything about the atmosphere.

They gave us many recommendations for restaurants and things to do in and around town. Breakfast is really good, homemade cake was our favorite :). The room was cleaned every day. At the day of our check-out we were able to leave our luggage and use the shared livingroom and toilet until we left. The view out of the shared livingroom was beautiful !!

With large windows overlooking the lake, rooms at Kaiken are very bright. All of them have private bathrooms. Awesome location with lake view. Charming staff, very helpful. Breakfast had good variety. We were also pleased with the dinner at the restaurant. Wi-fi in the room worked well.
