On arrival we were warmly greeted by Vance, who kindly offered to help us with our luggage. They room was spotlessly clean with an amazing ensuite shower room, which looked as though it had recently been fully refurbished. After a peaceful night, we were treated to an excellent breakfast, personally prepared by David, as good as any we've served in a 5* Hotel. Topped off with a fabulous pot of coffee, as we took in the expansive views of the countryside and watched the donkeys.

The room was extremely cosy, with a view over old houses straight out of a period film. My host and hostess, too, were absolutely wonderful, and their house an aladdin's cave of beautiful art, rustic furniture and antiques. A really other-worldly place to stay, with a prayerful atmosphere ideally suited to pilgrims to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.

A great location for Fakenham, a quiet area and only 10 minutes walk from town. The house is lovely and well set up, parking was no issue (you cannot park right outside though as the street is pedestrian access only). All the basics were available in the house; washing up liquid, shower gel, towels, tea, coffee etc. All the appliances in the kitchen worked and we were able to cook dinner. We had no need for contact with the host, but messages were quicky replied to. The internet worked well. The heating worked well and the shower worked well.

Melody House, is a quaint and historic, traditional bed and breakfast. Loved that the room I was staying in had a bath tub, good WiFi and lots of thoughtful extras to ensure a comfortable stay. The breakfast was fit for a king and the staff were kind enough to allow a slightly earlier check in. Parking was available.

This barn-conv is really nicely done, spacious with clearly top-quality materials and fittings. Every comfort is thought of. Location is very quiet, barn and small private patio is south-facing. Large parking area and totally secure. Host very welcoming, said hello and goodbye. Fakenham has just enough facilities to serve a self-catering break, and many day-locations are within reach.

What an amazing place. Tracey and Ian manage to merge traditional B&B with boutique hotel luxury perfectly! They are also so dog friendly that we often felt we were on our dog's holiday! Garden House is perfectly situated to explore the many delights of the north Norfolk coast, and is a wonderful place to come back to and relax after you have. Can not recommend highly enough.
