Sitting in the shadows of Ely Cathedral, Lamb Hotel dates back to the 15th century and retains its atmosphere as a thriving coaching inn.

The Lamb boasts 31 comfortable en-suite rooms. Meals and drinks are served all day in the bar and restaurant. Traditional beers, wines, spirits and teas and coffees are available.

The location is really great—the hotel is located in the heart of the city, simply next to the gorgeous Ely Cathedral, which I could see out of my room window! The room was very clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. At night, it was very quiet, which is great as I am very sensitive to loud sounds. I really like the style of the hotel, so for people who like a more homelike and cosy style, this hotel is the best!

Rooms at The Red Lion, Stretham come with a flat-screen TV, a writing desk and tea and coffee making facilities. Some also feature a fireplace and they all include a private bathroom fitted with a bathtub or a shower and a hairdryer.

The staff was friendly and accommodating without exception. Shower was excellent. Food delicious. We had a room that opened onto the outdoor patio, which I thought may potentially result in smoke or noise problems, but happily there were none. I enjoyed hearing the murmurs of happy conversation, and seeing the dogs that came onto the property with their owners. Ceiling fan was really appreciated during the warm spell. Well stocked convenience store just across the street. Very easy access to bus stops.

This is really marvellous bed and breakfast on the river bank in charming Ely. My room was spacious and luxury. Extremely clean and stylish. The bathroom was vast with everything necessary. Breakfast was abundant, with a great variety of choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely return. Thank you very much, indeed!

We stayed for two nights and have had the best experience you could ever ask for from a getaway. We had all the utensils and equipment we need at the cabin and the wood burner logs we provided to us by Mad Hatters. It was a very quiet and pleasant place that we needed and had its own private porch which gave us our own space. We also liked the hospitality of the staff and how easy it was to communicate with them when we needed something.

Loved everything about the property. So quiet on an evening. Great location. Ease of parking considering we have a van. Everything you could need in the kitchen to be totally self reliant, for a one night stay or even a month! One of the best places we have stayed in. Highly recommended.

Great location in city centre. Very clean and well equipped. Welcome hamper of milk, water and snacks appreciated. Good information about how to use Long and Short term parking to avoid moving car before 9.30 am. Close to parking though spaces were few from mid morning.
