• Southern Enterprise Awards, Most Charming Inn with Rooms 2023

This renovated 17th century pub retains many of its original features (with two inglenook fireplaces) and has oodles of atmosphere. With two restaurants, a dog friendly snug, bar, patio and a large beer garden there is also plenty of variety and space.

We stayed at the Brisley Bell when we attended a family wedding at Godwick Hall in April (10mins drive away). I was the photographer at said wedding so it was a mix of a business/family trip. What a place!! Absolutely in love with it from the minute we arrived, within 10 mins we were all in awe of the decor/style/finish, everything. The owners have done an incredible job of the pub itself and the rooms, just perfect. We would highly recommend it as a place to stay for anyone visiting the area....even if you're not, just go there anyway! not a chance of you regretting it. The thought and consideration for every detail and style element in the rooms is incredible. I now want to redecorate my own home! We had booked for dinner on our first night and after a 10hr drive down from the Highlands of Scotland, we were NOT disappointed. Beautiful restaurant area, full of character, fast service, smiley professional staff, stunning food...I could have eaten it all again. The staff are fantastic, they couldn't do enough for you but in a completely natural/non intrusive way. A special thanks to Jackie & her daughter in housekeeping! So lovely and welcoming, there to answer any queries we had (purely out of wondering, not because anything was wrong!). Even down to us chatting with them about the beautiful dinner the night before and asking 'How does the chef get the avocado so cleanly cut like that?!" Jackie went and asked for us and demonstrated the next time we saw her! It's all these little things that make you feel welcomed and as if you are the most valued guests while you're there. A lot of other accommodation outlets could learn a great deal from this business, can't fault them at all.

Very nice place, quiet location, perfect for relaxing after work. Great host and breakfast chef who accommodated my need for a 7.30am sharp breakfast as I started work at 8am. Next door to a great Indian restaurant too… what’s not to like?

We loved the quiet location and it was close enough to enjoy the local towns and beaches. The site was clean, quiet and perfect for our short break. Our Tent ‘Copper Beech’ was fantastic. We also thought the small site was thought out very and we liked having our own private space. The personal fire pit and BBQ was a lovely bonus. Would highly recommend staying here. We will be back.
