Excellent hiking up the hillside behind the apartment, as well as convenient driving access to Dynjandi waterfall and the red sand beach. An excellent restaurant in the town (Stúkuhúsið) serves delicious lamb, fish and desserts. There's a good grocery store and a tourist office in town as well.

Stekkar appartment is a good starting point for exploring the nearby touristical highlights such as Dynjandi waterfall, Rauđisandur beach and Látrabjarg cliffs. We highly recommend a visit of Selárdalur and Samúel Jónsson's art farm.
